Emily had never been a particularly timid girl. When she spent a night on the town, she had a good time. She let her hair down, she flirted, and she danced the way no proper lady would. It didn't matter that he was Evan's best friend, just as it wouldn't have mattered if he was a complete stranger. Emily was pressing up against him, and Sean certainly didn't mind, until he noticed Evan glancing over.
"I think he's watching," he said to her over the music.
Emily glanced up, having been oblivious, to see Evan nearby. "You think?"
Sean laughed. "Are you surprised?"
Emily quirked a brow at him. "It's not like we're... You know."
Again, Sean laughed. "Have a little more faith in me, will you? Taking home your best friend's ex is a shitty thing to do, even in the world of men."
She grinned back at him. "You really think it would upset him that much?"
"Have you met Evan?" Emily grinned broadly, letting out a bright laugh.
"He brought his girlfriend here. He's not allowed to be jealous." Sean gave her a look that clearly read 'Yeah right', before Emily finally turned around and succeeded in distracting him.
