"Evan? It's Carman. We...uh, we need to talk"

"Carman? Where are you?"

"Uh, work. I'm on my break. Listen, we really need to talk" *sounds hesitant*

"Why, what's up? Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?" *sounds worried*

*soft chuckle* "No, no, it's just that...well...it's Sean..."

"Sean? What's that asshole have to do with this?"

"Asshole? Aren't you guys like best friends?"

"Yeah. Never mind. What's up?"

*soft sigh* "He...uh..." *deep breath* "He wants me to, um, live with him"

"That's bullshit. Tell him no. Better yet, I'll tell him no."

"Well...Evan, he is family"

"So? I'm his best friend. He should trust me."

"Well, I never said he didn't trust you"

"Well. It's your choice, girl. I can't tell you what to do."

*soft sigh* "You don't get it Evan. I <i>want</i> to live with you. I like hanging out with you. It's just that...well, Sean is just scared that something might happen"

"I have a girlfriend."

"I know that. I think Sean is just worried that I'll get in the way of that or something"

"You won't."

*sighs* "I know I was only supposed to stay with you only for a little while, but I think I got too comfortable" *chuckle* "Do you want me to still stay with you?"

"You're always welcome, dear. You know that. You can stay with me til the cows come home."

"....even if I'm emptying out your refrigerator?"

"Carman. My refrigerator has never been empty."

*chuckles* "It will be soon. I'm a growing girl"

"I'll have my people go shopping every day."

"Damn Evan. You take care of me too well. I feel bad because the only thing I've given you was a silly scarf and a coupon book"

"Who cares? I don't. It's not about who can buy more stuff. I just like your company. But listen, I've got to go. Dad's calling on the other line. I'll see you at home?"

"Yeah. I'll see you soon, hun"

"Alright. Bye. And stay outta trouble."

"I'll try. Bye, Evan"
