Who: Brendan and William
What: William is helpless
Where: Their place
When: Thursday morning
Rating: PG-13
After being stabbed William found he had a greater respect for those who were paralyzed from the waist down. Thanks to the knife damaging some spinal membrane that would take a while to heal William had found he couldn't feel anything from his hips down except, surprisingly, his genitals. Not that they were useful or anything at that point. Every day he went into the hospital for his physical therapy. The therapist would work his legs, moving them, keeping them in shape and sometimes William could feel them start to tingle before they went dead again. He was healing, just very slowly.
Wednesdays PT had been especially hard on him, leaving him frustrated and ready to just go home and fall asleep which he did after Brendan helped him bathe. All night he twisted and turned the best he could while asleep, plagued with nightmares about dying, or about never being able to move again. About Brendan leaving him because he couldn't walk or because the other man had to do something gross like help William onto the toilet. So when he woke up Thursday morning he just lay there and stared at the ceiling, bags under his eyes, finding himself extremely tired.
