When Gabe had first came over Alena had still been on the verge of freaking out and it'd taken him awhile to get her calmed down, but once he had they set to work cleaning up her apartment. Practically the entire time she had bitched about how this had fucked things up even further while he'd been pretty silent except to intervene with a few calming words when it seemed like she'd go flying off the handle once more. Even with the seemingly giant mess that had been created it'd only taken the two of them about three hours to get her apartment back to the state it had been in when she'd last been there the Monday before. At Alena's insistance Gabe hadn't actually been able to organize anything in a manner that would make sense, but by her own code.
When they were done cleaning up she'd said that she just wanted to go take a quick shower. Somehow it had turned into an hour long shower that would have lasted longer had her water heater not stopped pumping out hot water. Drying herself off she'd wrap a towel around herself and slip out of her bathroom and into her bedroom, catching a glimpse of Gabe in her living room talking on the phone. Sam or Lu? More than likely Sam. Sighing she'd enter her bedroom and close her door behind her before grabbing a pair of her beloved Soffee shorts and a long sleeved thermal and changed as she looked around her room. She was having mixed emotions about being back in her own apartment. On the one hand it was great to be home but on the other she hadn't expected to return home to that... of course there was also the prospect of spending her first night alone since the scene at the Bakery. Shaking off those feelings she'd grab that towel she'd thrown on the floor and bend over before running it through her damp hair once more. That towel would be tossed at the foot of her bed before she scooped up Blow Job who seemed ecstatic to be back at his own apartment rather than couped up in the guest bedroom at Amy's.
"Home sweet home, Beej. Home sweet home." Her words trailed off into an exasperated sigh as she walked into her living room and sat down on the couch, setting her cat on her crossed legs, as she looked up at Gabe who was still talking on the phone.
