"Y'ello"

"Vince?"

"Steph, hey. What's up?"

"What did you do?"

 [pause] "Uh...I ate a pizza just right now? Is that bad?"

-irritation is evident in her voice- "What did you say to Logan, Vincent?"

"Oh. I just asked to talk to the kid..." [pause] "You sound mad"

"Just asked to talk to him?"

"Yes, talk!" [voice sounds childish] "Am I in trouble?"

"YES!"

 [flinch] "What I do?!"

"What do you think you did, Vince?! He knows I told you! You're my older brother, and he thinks you're pissed off!"

"Oh...yeah. I...uh...I love you?"

"Why the hell do you want to talk to him anyway!? What did you think you were going to say?!"

"Okay, okay, I'll answer you once you stop yelling. You're killing my ear drum"

"Fine." -silent-

 [sighs] "Thank you" [takes deep breath] "I'm just going to straighten something out. I promise not to hurt him...well, I'll try to"

-tense- "Straighten what out, Vincent?"

"You know...the brother and the guy who did my virgin sister talk..."

"Normal people don't HAVE that talk!"

"And we're back to the yelling"

"Yes! We are! He's one of my best friends, Vince! Don't do this to me!"

"Hey! It's not like I'm going to kill him? Hurt him...well..." [laughs]

"Vince, I'm serious!"

 [sighs] "And I'm a little serious too. You try being the older brother"

"Vince, I'm 18. I'm allowed to have sex."

"I know, I know. I'm just going to talk to him, okay? And I promise not to hurt him. He's not only your best friend, he's Sam's brother"

"Promise you'll be nice to him."

"I promise not to hurt him, isn't that enough?"

"No."

"You're asking too much from me..." [sighs] "Fine, I'll try, but I won't promise that I will"

"He's a good guy, Vincent."

"I know he is"

"...If he won't talk to me anymore, I'm never speaking to you again."

[sighs] "Yes ma'am"

"...And I have the money you loaned me for groceries. I'll mail it to you or something."

"Sweet. Now I have enough to take Erin out on a real date" [chuckles]

-you can practically see her glaring through the phone- "I hope her brother tells you he wants to have a talk."

"She doesn't a brother. Ha-Ha" [makes that sound when someone sticks their tongue at you]

"I hate you right now."

"I love you too" [laughs]
