Who: Rebecca, OPEN to anyone in the Elkins' household
What: Wandering through the house
When: Friday night
Where: Elkin's estate
Rating: PG-13 for now

Weekends, Rebecca liked to spend with Evan. Sure they were still only fake boyfriend and girlfriend (sort of kind of even though she was really starting to wish they were more real...) but she liked the boy. If nothing else they were at least close friends so that gave her the chance to wander around the mansion, doing this that and the other thing. With her white German Shepherd Wilson padding after her at her heels the young woman walked aimlessly through the upstairs hallway, a tooth brush sticking partially out of her mouth. As she and her dog walked she scrubbed her teeth, finally making it back into the bathroom where she rinsed and spit. With that little nightly routine taken care of the young woman made her way downstairs, barefoot and in a pair of what appeared to be boy's shorts (possibly Evan's) and a tank top.

She'd not seen hide nor hair of anyone really for the past half hour but that wasn't really all that surprising. The place, after all, was big and the young woman was normally content just wandering and getting to know the place, letting her thoughts wander. To be honest her ability still frightened her a bit and the more she heard rumors about it not being an uncommon thing the more curious she became. Add in the missing files she kept coming across at work and really the young woman was becoming quite paranoid.

Part of her wondered if Evan had abilities but she didn't dare ask. Didn't dare bring it up because to be honest? She didn't trust his father. If Charles Elkins found out what she could do he might try to use her and that just wasn't something she was willing to subject herself to at that point. Reaching the bottom of the stairs she glanced at Wilson who glanced back at her, tail wagging. She reached over and pat his head.

"Good dog."

Winter always had it's casualties. A large sector of every workforce getting colds, or flu, or whatever they wanted to call it just to get out of going to work on those frigid mornings. The staff manning the Elkin's estate were no different. Several maids, and one of the kitchen staff we're currently indisposed, claiming illness that they didn't want to pass on to any of the family members or their guests.

Admittedly, their excuses were probably true. Natalia's had been a couple of weeks ago while she was still trying to get over her own self-induced fever. So now, to make up for that, she was covering shifts that had been left by the other employees. And desperately trying to avoid Evan so he wouldn't ask why she wasn't wearing her Christmas 'present'. In fact, she hated seeing anyone that belonged to the household when she was here. It wasn't like this was what she really wanted to be doing, and she didn't exactly want it getting out to the general community that she spent her time cleaning up after rich assholes.

Which is why when she stepped out into the hallway with clean linen held under her arms, she winced inwardly to see the red-head and her dog. It was so much worse when the people hanging around the mansion were a similar age to her. Almost wishing that she had a completely different power than she did, invisibility would be nice right now, Natalia lowered her eyes as she attempted to shuffle past this girl.

Why she hadn't just...phased into the floor while the girl's back was turned...Too late now.

The dog noticed Natalia first and wuffled - a sound between a bark and a whine sort of, since Rebecca didn't let him bark indoors unless there was an emergency - and then padded over to her. His big white fluffy tail wagged as he sniffed at her ankles before moving to sit back, gazing up at her, expecting to be petted. While Rebecca had trained him relatively well she couldn't seem to break Wilson of his urge to request attention from every person he ran across.

Glancing over she noticed it was one of the help that Wilson was bothering and smiled a little bit. Yes she'd always been graced with a high class family and a few maids of their own around the house but she was never snotty about it. Even as a child she and a maid's little boy were best of friends so she always looked highly on the laborers who worked so hard at a job that wasn't glamorous.

"Sorry about him." She apologized, smiling all the more once she was actually speaking to the young woman who looked about her age. "He believes everyone wants to pet him." Rebecca walked over and pat Wilson on the head.

Making sure that the bedsheets she held were not going to get dog hair on them because they were trailing or something, Natalia eyed the dog warily. It was rather large dog, and looked sort of like a husky. God she was going to have to go around later looking for all the fur it had shed.

Moving away from that fact though, she allowed herself to raise her eyes slightly, looking at the girl. Who was she anyway? The only sensible answer seemed to centre on Evan's new girl. A second too late Natalia forced herself to smile simply. "He's cute." She replied curtly. She even let a hand drop so he could sniff at it all he wanted.

"Well behaved, too..."

Rebecca hadn't even though about her dogs shedding. In her own home she would just vacuum and clean the house once a week which seemed to take care of things. Wilson sniffed at Natalia's hand and then licked with, whining, his tail wagging wildly now.

"Sometimes anyway. He is still a bit of a puppy at heart." She paused and noticed the sheets Natalia was holding while also trying to pet the dog. "Oh, 'ere love, let me help you with those yeah?" The young British girl moved to take the sheets from Natalia's arms so they wouldn't get dirty. "Don't want 'em getting messy with dog slobber."

Wrinkling her nose slightly as the dog licked at her fingers, the girl turned her hand around, scratching the dogs forehead briefly. And then sheets were being removed from her arms and for some reason, Natalia felt utterly naked without them to hide behind right now.

Wide eyes staring at the other girl, she couldn't help the things that were going to come out of her mouth now that she was feeling defensive. "You sound like you stepped out of a Harry Potter film." Oh shut up...just close your mouth and don't say another word. Rescue the sheets and do your God damn job. And sanitize your hand.

She at least heeded the advice to shut up.

"England came long before 'Arry Potter." She pointed out, rolling her eyes slightly thought over-all she seemed amused by the comment. "Hell, I came before 'Arry did, so I think I've had me accent longer." Winking, she cradled the sheets to her chest. "What room were you going to, mate? I'll take these up there for ya if you want to wash your hands. I can't imagine Wilson's slobber on ya is very nice." Rebecca laughed a little and moved to step up on the first step that led upstairs.

"I'm Rebecca, by the way. Y'can call me Becca though if ya want. I'm not all that picky."

Eyeing the adjoining corridors warily Nat frowned. This wasn't going all too well. If anyone found out this girl was doing her work, whether that be carrying sheets too rooms or even changing them, she was going to get murdered. "I...no, that's okay. Really." She wiped her hand on the side of her leg, thankfully it wasn't overly slobbered, and she'd fix herself up given two seconds.

"They are going to actually shoot me if anyone sees you with those." She danced up a step worriedly. "It's just for the second guest room and Evan's anyway. It's not like they won't wait for me to clean up."

"Oh c'mon, love." She smiled brightly, shaking her head. "No one is goin' to get their trousers in a bunch over me helpin' you carry some sheets up the stairs. 'Specially after my dog's been lickin' you. 'Ere." The young woman took a couple of the pillow cases and handed them to Natalia with a smile. "Now we're sharin' the work." And with that she began taking the steps two at a time, Wilson watching her before padding up the stairs, following his owner.

Closing her eyes in defeat, Talia shook her head, almost disgusted at herself. This is what she hated most about this place. She couldn't say no. Her mother depended on her to do what she was told while she was here, and keep her job.

"Yes...sorry 'Becca." She followed the dog up the stairs, feeling like one herself. She hadn't offered her own name yet, and was really hoping she wouldn't have to. This whole thing was such a disaster already, she could at least hope to keep her anonymity intact for a while longer.

"What are you sorry for?" Rebecca asked once she got to the top of the stairs, looking back curiously. Wilson stepped up onto the second floor and then padded ahead, moving to explore.
