Who: Amanda Ford and open
What: Sitting at a bar
Where: Bar
When: Tuesday night
Rating: TBA

Amanda sat on a bar stood gazing at her abandoned beer. That would have been her fourth this night, which was a lot for her. Amanda wasn’t a big drinker to be frank. She honestly hated the taste of beer, but it always gave her something to do. With her enhanced hearing, she listened intently at other’s conversations, would to most be snooping, but to her would be considered ‘doing what she does best’. Her finger churned around the small opening on the top of the beer bottle as she sighed unsatisfied with her night. The most exciting thing she has probably done tonight was run around the kitchen trying to grab the mouse.

Odd conversations were currently taking place. One woman was complaining about her rent, and one man was talking about divorcing his wife. One was even talking tasty things to one of the bartenders. She grimaced and focused somewhere else. Her ears perked as someone turned on the water in the back of the counter, and merely just listened quietly. The sound of water was always calm. Then the door opened and her eyes gazed to the side, wondering who it was. If it was anyone important.

Of course he'd call himself important but to the general population he as a person wasn't anything really interesting. Maybe if one of his fans was around and recognized his face then he'd be important but over-all he tended to blend in well enough. Pretty pictures looked different than he did in real life after all. Seeing the only empty seat at the bar was next to a young woman who had glanced at him the man sighed. Young and female, not something he needed.

Hopefully she'd uphold bar courtesy and not gush about how her boyfriend left her for some "skanky whore" as one bar patron had felt the need to tell him one night when he just wanted to drink. He shifted into the seat and ordered his scotch on the rocks.

It was an unnecessary habit to gaze at the door every time it opened. But as the anonymous man walked in, her eyes went back to the beer bottle. As he sat down, her ears picked up every movement. The way he shifted his seat through the static friction sound, the sound of the bartender's fingers slipping off of the glass when he set it down, she could almost hear his heartbeat if it wasn't for the loud surrounding. To others it might not be loud, but for her it was like city in the middle of time square.

Her gaze went to his drink, hearing the clanking sounds of the ice rubbing together. Her ears picked up every detail of sound waves that entered the room. She let out a long exasperated sigh before turning back to look at the table in front of her.

The man noticed the sigh and scowled a little to himself, scratching his ear. Maybe he didn't want to hear her sob story or whatever it was he expected a young woman in a bar to gush at him about but he became antsy when she seemed tensed. Taking a swig of his drink he set the glass down and then toyed with the moisture on the outside, turning the small bits to little ice crystals.

Small stuff he could do just fine. It was bigger things he had trouble icing. He'd tried icing over a bathtub filled with water but either he could cover it in a thing layer or just do about three inches in one spot. Though he was perfecting his art, slowly but surely, especially now that he knew the people tailing him knew of his talent.

The one in the sunglasses sitting off at the other corner of the bar.

Smooth. William thought to himself, rolling his eyes before glancing at the young woman beside him.

Amanda wasn't really the type to vent about relationship shit, because hell she thought relationships were overrated. What she was really tense about was really just her day. It was normal, and that was what irritated her. There was nothing to spark her interest. Maybe odd sounds, yes, but despite what happened years ago, her life is now bland. Her fingers grabbed the small nozzle of her beer and took a nice swing of it, then placed it down listening to the sounds around her again.

The man next to her didn't catch her interest, and it wasn't like it was her job to be social. Dammit, she was a social reject. So engaging herself in conversation wasn't entirely necessary. She heard his fingers toying around with the wet around his drink, but there was something odd about the sound. There was a tiny crackling noise. Faint, but it was there. Her eyes gazed to his drink and frowned in confusion as she saw little ice crystals.

She glanced up at him, "Damn, I didn't think it was that cold" she muttered.

These days he didn't really care who noticed his ability. He already had men tailing after him who wouldn't go away, the ability wasn't going away anytime soon and if he needed to he could protect himself in a dangerous situation. William could use any sort of liquid to get him going - even something as simple as sweat on his palms - so thankfully he could use his ability anywhere. The young lady beside him noticed. Maybe he'd wanted her to maybe he hadn't but she had and now he was smirking a bit to himself.

"It isn't." He explained before reaching over and tapping her beer bottle. The contents inside of it froze.
