Hey guys. Sorry about being a terrible mod. Real life happened, but in a good way. Well, for the most part. Besides the fact that my school is trying to NOT ALLOW me to register for classes online (so I have to go there and do it, but I never have time), I am getting tons more responsibility at work and way more hours. Plus, I met a guy and when I'm not at work, or worrying about classes, I'm usually with him. Or playing my brand new X-Box which I just bought on Tuesday. My gamertag is SketchMuffin, for all you who have it and want to friend me. =]
Anywho. I finally got around to those sweeps I was planning on doing last Friday. I've also added two new characters to the game. So, everyone should run the friend button.
Aside from that, I'm planning another future plot for February 10th, 2009. It will be five years in the future, so that means when Calvin jumps this time, he'll end up on Feb. 10th, 2014. I kind of like the idea of Peter Kelly being on top in this future, because he needs more plot. Uh. The characters are either caught, dead, living in cages/jail cells, or hiding in underground cities that they've built themselves. It's obvious that their offspring are born with powers by now. And there is definitely no cure for the time being. Anything that's developed for now will give the characters horrible seizures before they eventually die. It's almost immediate.
So, plot away for this. We will have new dossiers, I'm sure. Peter Kelly will need to keep tabs on the characters in some way or another. |

Okay folks. Here's the deal. It's another snow storm. It sucks. I hate Mass sometimes. We're getting like 6 inches or more, from what I heard on the news. It's supposed to be gone by 8pm tonight, but the driving conditions are terrible, and the visibility is like a whiteout (at least where I am). Just keep that in mind for realistic threading today. Tomorrow, there will be no snow, but Friday it will snow all day from morning til night and into Saturday from what the weather channel is telling me. Anywho. I'm planning a power outtage to occur for plots.
I will let you guys have easy threading until 12:02 am, exactly two minutes after the new year, and the power will go out. It will remain out until the early hours of Saturday morning. This is prone to change, depending on if I have power Saturday or not and if the storm Friday is as bad as they're predicting.
Anywho. Some families (the wealthier ones) might only have power because of generators. Or middle class. But most shouldn't unless tehy go out and buy one at Lowe's/Home Depot. Keep in mind they're prolly selling out fast, so if your char is one who would buy it early, then they would probably have one. But if they're a procrastinator, then they might not.
I can't speak for anyone else, but Evan definitely has power (duh). Cait and Rue do not. |

Oh and um. Would anyone be interested in playing Evan's second BFF? Really, Evan doesn't function right without a shoulder to lean on or someone to crack dirty jokes to. Right now, he's sort of being a punk bitch as far as Emily goes and just an asshat as far as Alena goes. He's really got no guy friends visibly. I've got to make up half the shit he does with David because Lyddia isn't around. If anyone wants to play another 21 year old, I don't care what he is/how he is as long as he was a jock in highschool and was on the football team with Evan. Evan was on football and track teams. Was captain of track in hs, and was the running back in football. He basically needs someone to be a douche with.
EDIT: Probably not going to make a backstory comm because that would sort of negate the idea of time travel. |

We all know by now that Kait is an insane, obsessive-compulsive insomniac. I like continuity. And lists. So I have another one for you. A timeline of the next two years before they happen which is in no way all-inclusive. But we've got important things like births, deaths, weddings, hostile government takeovers, etc. so that those of you threading tomorrow can have a quick reference. Even I'm not insane enough to sit there and put in every detail (especially not after spending half the day in the kitchen/the amount of food I've eaten), but the point is to give a general gist.

Hey peeps! So, as you all know, on Friday our lovely game will be transported two years into the future for one day, and then we're back to 2008, but not without souvenirs in the form of computer files. These files will be stolen by our time traveler from Charles Elkins's database and contain information on those with powers in Bristol, including everything that happens in the next two years. Lucy of our very own Team Awesome (soon to be T.E.A.M. according to popular consensus) is going to find these files and distribute them to their appropriate subjects, and in doing so, quite possibly change the future. It's a good thing, too, because Bristol on Nov. 27, 2010 is looking pretty bleak.
So we've drawn up a form for you guys to fill out for your characters, and post as a comment here so we can have them all in one place and not spam everybody's f-lists. So - have fun with it! Remember, what you put down as the "future" will not necessarily happen. You also don't have to do this; only if you want your character to be affected. Any character that Charles might one day have a file on can make one! Picture is most definitely optional, and I'll be posting Gabriel's soon if you need an actual example. Any questions can probably be answered by Alissa, myself, or Leigh, and I'm always on anyway, so shoot me an IM at warofataraxy if you need anything!

OKAY homeslices, listen up and listen up good. This is the explanation/deets for the future plot arc.
As of right now, the day that Calvin jumps two years in the future is scheduled for Black Friday. For any of you not familiar with that term, it's the Friday after Thanksgiving (which happens to be Thursday, Nov. 27th for all of you non-US residents).
Now, what this is going to entail is the major plot thread (the one where Charles Elkins exterminates Cait Abernathy) and then whatever subplots you all want to do. To make it completely fair, and not at all confusing, the ONLY time you can post future threads is on that Friday. There will be no cases of posting Saturday, and saying it's a future thread. ONLY that Friday. Also, there will be no future journal entries. All journal entries posted that day are normal journal entries.
Anyone can participate in the subplots for fun, and anyone who wants to be a part of the major plot thread certainly can within reason. Anything can happen to your characters in two years (also within reason) that you choose. Also, you do NOT have to participate in the future threads if you don't want to. If you just want to thread normally that Friday, you are also certainly able to. Just point out that it is NOT a future thread and does indeed take place in 2008.
Please keep in mind that when posting a future thread that Friday, to point out that it is taking place 2 years in the future. ONLY that one day in the future is playable as well. There are no "A week after Calvin jumps" sorts of things. The only day playable in the future will be November 27, 2010.
I will add the appropriate 'future' tag when I do all the tagging for easy navigation. |

Hi guys!
So, as you know, Peter Kelly is an anti-mutant politician.
Before he can really make any kind of progress (e.g. an anti-mutant or a mutant registration bill) he has to do some snooping and get some proof.
AS SUCH.
Those mentioned in the list in Peter's journal whom he considers most important will have an investigator tailing them. And if he happens to find out said person has close ties to someone else, they will be tailed, too. Sam, for example, lives with Lucy. So if he has someone following Sam, and they find he's living with her, Lucy will soon be followed, too.

Keep in mind these are trained professionals so the likelihood of them being spotted/noticed by your characters unless they're used to that sort of thing (such as Charles or John, perhaps) or unless your character has an ability to somehow see that kind of thing (Alena, Marlie, or Gabe, for example), the odds of your character noticing them is pretty slim, especially not right away.
I was talking to Alissa, and we also thought it would be exciting if, after a bit of investigation, he finds some dirt and decides to be more thorough. He'd (and by he, I mean one of his lackeys) break into someone's place to look around. So if anyone would like to volunteer their casa to be ransacked, give me a hollerrr.

Okay you guys asked for it and well here you go! A complete list of every character currently active in the game (which is quite a few in case you haven't noticed) and their stand-ins in Alena's ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) spazzoid premonitions. Basically Kait and I, mostly Kait, are beasts. One may argue that this undertaking falls under the category of insane. At least it's the good kind of crazy that produces things like this and not the kind that leads you to go on homocidal sprees? (It should be noted that as I write this I am tagging for both Grant and Alena... so yeah... you get this. LOL) Anywhoozles- yep.
Now seeing as this game is roughly based off of the powers from Heroes there were times when we had to sorta "cheat" with characters and the powers your character has may not be exactly what their stand-in does. We tried our best YES WE FIT ANOLE, BEAST AND ARCANGEL IN THERE SOME HOW! and hopefully you guys can - if nothing else - look at this and realize how lame cool Kait and I are. Bah ha ha.

EDIT;; Another thing that I wanted to point out was that yes, sometimes male characters have female stand-ins and vice-versa. Even with the bakajillion characters in the Marvel Universe EFF HOUSE OF M/DECIMATION! we sometimes couldn't find a character with the same gender as yours. Just remember... at least you're not the leader of Team Awesome and your stand-in is everyone's favourite red headed crazy ass lesbian? O_O telekine? Ohhh burn. Leigh's horrible humor: 1. Sam Riddick: 0. Ohhhhmy.

Mmmmk so, here's the deal. I was updating the Order List and discovered that A) I forgot who wanted in on it and B) I'm running out of places.
So here it is Order Hierarchy List
Now I'm asking a couple things
1) If I don't have your character on here, and we've talked or you want your character on Lemme know! I need to place Dinah Lehtner at the very least.
2) I need to start rearranging the Kings and Jacks and stuff. Charles would only place people in these roles if he trusted them a lot, and if their power was super useful. So if you think your character wouldn't be fit so much to lead tell me so I can put them elsewhere or put them as a general member. It's unrealistic for me to just put the first 12 or so in top spots because they're the first twelve.
So let me know k?
And for Team whatever its name is, I'll get to updating that list as well. |

Okay folks. So, I had an idea, and being the wonderful mod that I am, decided to share it with y'all and get your input. This can only work if people cooperate, or want it to, otherwise the idea is just stupid. I've already run it by Leigh and she seems to think it's a good idea.
Show of hands, how many have seen Heroes? Wow, alot of you. =] Well, then those who have are familiar with the aspect of time travel per Hiro or Peter, or in some cases, other minor characters through a fluke or whatever. Anywho, for those of you who havent, basically, in the show, there's a few main characters who can manipulate time and manage to jump all the way into the future. Sometimes it's a year, sometimes it's five years, sometimes it's months. Anywho, the point is, that when they jump into the future, they see both some cataclysmic (sp?) event that happens and what their lives would be like from that DAY THAT THEY JUMPED (aka, the future isn't set in stone). Then, whoever jumped realizes they need to STOP THE FUTURE FROM HAPPENING and make it their life mission when they go back to stop whatever chain of events is causing this event.
So, I was thinking. Shayna is apping the time manip guy. I thought maybe we could have a group discussion and decide on what the MOST LIKELY cataclysmic event would be that would happen in two years from TODAY. As in, what are all our people doing now that would potentially be dangerous in the future. Not saying it's actully gonna happen, cause it's not. But there we have it.
Then, time manip guy can come back and either warn select people who therefore warn others, or be all happy. It doesn't really matter because as long as he writes about it in his journal, whether publically or privately, Lucy can read it anyways and warn the Dream Team.
Also, I thought it would be kind of fun to play around with it a little. Because in Heroes when they time travel, they always see other characters lives like when ( Click for Spoiler ) or things like that nature. I just thought maybe we could dedicate one day to forward date entries to two years from whenever the day is we decide, and play out some stupid funny story lines with our chars. Either unlikely or likely as they may be. Have fun with it, you know?
Anywho. What do ya'll think? Give me input and if you like it, what could be an event?

OOOKAY so about 50 things people.
1. This is Sam's new pb Bryan Greenberg. I'm very sad to see the hotness that is Garrett Hedlund go, but he was being a bitch and not being in enough things for me to use icons.
2. Charles Elkins future group The Ordernow has a Hierarchy and club list. On it, it will explain briefly what the organization will be, the rankings and who has or does what. You can find it HERE. It isn't in play yet, as Charles is just starting to organize it. The Research Facility he's implementing is a front for this organization. The idea for The Order is directly from the Marvel Hellfire Club so if you want more information go there. If you'd like to see your character as a member of The Order post their names, abilities and what rank you want them. Honestly it'll come down to who Charles can use, and trusts most but even if they want to be general members (lackys) put them down!
3. I'll be doing one for Sam and Team yet-to-be-named as well. And the team meeting will be up shortly.

Who wants some character evolutions? Cause I do. I've chosen a few of the characters, mostly the ones who use their powers the most, and I've come up with simple evolutions for them. K?
Charles Elkins- Can now turn objects BACK to their original substance, after turning them to gold. However, people will remain DEAD.
Dylan Hayes- Can now fly at the speed of sound.
Emily Cauldwell- No longer feels pain.
Jonathan Bellamy- Can now tune sounds out and focus on specific ones. |
