Heya folks! Sorry I haven't been around, even after my exam, things went crazy. I'm going to have to drop the game. I just don't think I can handle computer time with everything else right now. It was wonderful playing with all of you, and please, keep in touch! Alissa, you created a fantastic, original game, and thank you for having me! Best of luck, everyone!

I f-locked the application. We are currently not accepting new applications unless it's from people who are already in the game who need specific characters for plot. Think of this as just one giant psl comm. |

Hey guys, I need to go on hiatus for a bit. HUGE test/practical coming up and all my attention needs to be on that. So I won't even be online to check anything. That's where I've been the past few days, finally remembered to get around and put up a notice. Thanks for understanding! I'll post again when I've passed... hopefully... >> Positive thinking, right?

Alright so. It's back to me being sole mod. For reasons I can't explain because I don't know the reasons, we've had a mass exodus and I've just swept a whole bunch of people. I'm going to be compacting the character list so that there aren't anymore duplicate powers where we can help it. I'll also be pulling off some of the lesser popular powers and more powerful powers so that we can have a nice even flow. I'll raise the character limit to 5 for now, because I think with less players, we can get better character development.
As far as the sweeps, if I swept a character that you were still wanting to play, reply to this thread. Basically what I want to do, is finish off the sweeps by the end of the week. Everyone who is still interested in this game, apart from the ones I've already talked to on IM (Ashley, Joey, RD, Julie, Lilly [through RD], Shayna), please respond to this entry so that I know to save your characters. If I don't get a response by the end of the week (Friday), then I will sweep all remaining characters. Then I will compact the char list and do some advertising. Hopefully we can get some new blood and better plots going.
The future thread is still planned for Feb. 10th for all those who were wondering.
Also, from here on out, make all your OOC entries friends only. And run the friend button! |

Hey all. I've just fixed the character list. I'm going to be doing some sweeps soon, so if you're character hasn't posted a 3rd person thread or a journal entry since the 20th, then they should probably do so just to be safe. I'll post the list tomorrow and I'll be doing sweeps on the 3rd. (That's a Tuesday.)
I've also noticed a HUGE amount of phonecalls and AIM logs in the community. This is fine, but I've decided that it no longer counts towards your 3rd person thread. Mostly because I'm sad at the way actually scening is going right out the window. So, you can still post them, but I don't want it to be the ONLY thing your characters ever do.
I haven't yet decided the fate of Charles Elkins or Samuel Riddick, but any suggestions would be great. If anyone wants to play them, let me know. Obviously you'd have to write your own bios, etc because we can't steal Jills work but the characters still need their brother/father. |

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to continue with this game. To those of you who I had plot with, I apologize but I'm just not going to be able to do this anymore.
I dunno what Alissa has planned but I'm sure Sam will die somehow, so you'll all have fun with that, and plenty of new plots.
Peace out Hors!

Hey everybody!
For those of you who don't know, I'm Jo. I play Dinah Lehtner and Kimmy Cooper. Due to some very unfortuante circumstances, I have to drop the game. You've all been absolutely fantastic, and I am very sad to have to go. My friend Jackie will more than likely be picking up Dinah, so you won't see that character die. Unfortunately, any plot with Kimmy will be dropped, unless someone would like to adopt her.
Best of luck to you all!

Ladies and Gentlmen!
This is Joey with my second character. He is lovable. He is huggable. He is cheek-pinching worthable. He's also a serial killer. No. Really. He's been killing things since he was about 8. You can read more about the history and whatever in his profile, but in shorthand, here's what you should know:
Aric Nathaniel Barton, aka Nathan Barton, is a high school history teacher. He does have an adopted daughter (hopefully she makes it into the game :D), and has gone from junior high to high school as his daughter has moved through the different grade levels (just to keep an overly protective fatherly eye out for her.) To his students, he is fumbly and lovable. He seems so genuine and personable that even though the class may be boring, he finds ways to draw everyone's attention. Mr. Barton is very knowledgeable in the subject of history, and he is also very helpful to his students. Someone needs extra study time? He'll stay after for as long as needed. Someone needs a ride home from school? He'll donate his mileage. All in all, he's well respected.
Too bad its all a front. The real Nathan Barton prefers to be known as Aric to his victims. Like aforementioned, he's been killing things since he was 8 years old, usually just little animals, then larger ones, and eventually, after an incident in high school, he killed a human being and hasn't been able to stop since. He does, however, have a set of morals he follows strictly. Only inhuman humans are worthy of the torture and slaughter he subjects them to: rapists, murders, abusers, pedophiles, anyone that causes harm to children especially. Consider it.. justified injustice. When he moved to Bristol years ago, he was very, very, very careful in his selections, and has never been caught. With his new abilities, well, let's just say killing has become much more fun.
Consider him a heavy cross between Giles, Magneto, and Dexter, because that's where I've drawn everything about him and slammed them all together.
Any plots would be loved! With his ability, I expect him to be raising greater hell against the humans. Homosuperiority is a fashionable and sensible term....and this was longer than intended e.e Sorry. AIM me at: joshcanheal.
P.S. I'll be working on the ghost-couch reply shortly :D |

It's Lillian again, back with my second character introduction in two days! Phew!
So this is Timbo. His real name is Timothy Brodsky, but don't call him that - nobody but his parents and his little sister Andrea call him Timothy, and he's not really sure if people know what his real name actually is. So it's just Timbo, as you will know if you're a regular at Oscurecimeinto, where he works. That'd be the Alkeinoses' tattoo shop, of course, and Timbo's worked there first as an apprentice, then as a piercer and an artist since he graduated high school. Ten years, since he's 28 years old. And he and Suiwi Teng, who the lovely miss Jackie introduced you to earlier, have been together for about four years now.
What else? He's an artist of course, and a surfer (California born and bred, but moved to Bristol when he was 16), and has always been kind of a troublemaker. He's calmed down a bit as he's gotten older, but he still gets into his fair share of scrapes. That's about it...oh, except he's got elemental transmutation! As usual, we're up for anything you can toss at us, plotwise. His journal and the rest of all that good info can be found at --> elementalink. ^_^ |

Hey everyone!!
I'm Lauren, and I'm pretty excited to be a part of this game! I know you want to hear all about my character, so without further awkward introduction nonsense, I introduce to you: Jackson Wright.
He is a 33-year-old graphic novelist and comic writer; he has two published graphic novels so far, and maybe you've seen his weekly comic in the Bristol paper? :D His graphic novels are a mixture of his insane imagination and his extremely vivid nightmares/dreams he's had since he was a kid, and he's currently dreaming up a third. Though he spends a lot of time working and drawing in his apartment, he does occasionally get over his introverted side and wanders around the town, looking for inspiration and a decent cup of coffee. He's spent all but 10 years of his life in Bristol; he relocated to Boston for that time (he attended university there for fine arts + english, and then stayed once he published his novels and really started enjoying the city), but due to some personal problems, found his way back home. Social activity doesn't come as naturally to him as art; he was bullied and beat him when he was younger, and is a little haunted by some tougher times in his past, but is very loyal and compassionate once he opens up to someone a little better.
He's not exactly sure what's going on yet, but he seems to get stuck in some daydreams that are a little out of the ordinary for him (in that they are ordinary, as opposed to his usual surreal/horrific projections of his actual surroundings). He hasn't quite made the connection that they're linked to what he's touching at the time, but he has noticed there's a pattern of things he's seeing - the origins of objects, a few minutes in time of their existence before he's ever seen them, etc. He's a little hesitant to confide in anyone about it because he spends so much time in his own head already and is unsure whether anyone would believe him.
Despite his anxious and introspective nature, I'm sure there are some important figures in his life aside from his family. So if you want to talk about plotlines, reach me via PM, AIM (yleefyhcout) or email (miamicurrent@gmail.com). His full history can be seen at touchyfeely. |

Lillian here again! I've actually got two new characters to introduce, but sadly don't have the time to delve into both of them so I shall be introducting you all to my boy Spencer here and get to Timbo later.
The basics: 32, Homocide Detective with extensive training in Forensic Sciences and Criminology for the Bristol County Police Department, Lie Detection (power), ex-husband of Dawn Bassler and father of Holly Rourke. Det. Rourke is pretty easy to read-- he's very straightlaced and by the book and often obsesses a little too much about the cases he's assigned to. A workaholic by design he has to force himself to not get too involved with his cases so that he can be there for his daughter of whom he has primary custody of since his divorce from his wife. He's just getting clued into what's going on in Bristol and is ready to start interrogating people, good guy and bad alike, to get to the bottom of this all. Little does he realize that he'd about to bite off more than he can chew.
As of right now he's currently investigating a murder involving a dead line cook from a local pizzeria that was found with a large kitchen knife stabbed into his forehead; in to the hilt and out the back of his head. The thought has not occured to him (read: He's an extremely skeptical person and as such if he can't see it with his own eyes or feel it with his own hands, doesn't believe it) that these abilities people have been given could somehow play into this. As for his own power, he has realized that for some reason he can tell when people are lying and in some cases automatically knows the truth, but has yet to put two and two together.
I am excited at the prospect of letting him use his intimidation to weed out information and think it could also get a few laughs. As for plot in general: I'm up for whatever and so is Spence. Feel free to reach me at Lillyyy Bones (if my AIM works), but yet again it's much easier to just drop me a line at LilBonson@yahoo.com. ^_~

So since I suck and haven't been very vigilant...I thought I'd take to updating both The Order roster, and T.E.A.M's Roster. I dunno if more people wanted their characters to join either, so if that's the case PLEASE let me know here! That way we can get to Team jackets, and sparkly tights and whatnot ;)
Let me know!
And for all your plotting needs via Sam, Alec or Charles hit me up at sammyrddick, I've been having internet issues a lot lately so excuse that.

HELLO BAD WATER.
Behold! I am Jackie. Or...JJ for those of you who can only handle two letters. I'm twenty, a video store clerk, and...a spaz? IDK. I hate these intro things.
So, anyway. This is Suiwi Teng. Originally from Hawaii, she moved to Bristol when she was fifteen. Since she's twenty-one now, she's been here for awhile. Uh...yeah. She spent her high school years in Bristol, so there may be some people who know her. For all those history-like details, check her profile. Right now, she's all about her boy Timbo, and poking people with needles at the local piercing parlor. That's right! Our girl is a piercer. So feel free to make an appointment for all your body jewlery needs.
Suiwi's power is lightning. She's not only aware of it, she plays with it at really inappropriate times. Probably not the safest thing to do, but damn it's fun! That's pretty much the story of her entire personality, though. She's kind of impulsive like that.
Okay! So for plot, you can find me at WHOAjawa on AIM. If you manage to catch me. I am an elusive Jackiebeast when it comes to instant messanger. You are guarenteed to find me, however, at whoza.jawa@gmail.com. Yeah, I have a Star Wars thing. Don't judge, people. Don't judge.

Hellooooo.
I, unfortunately, am going to have to drop the game. I feel a little bad for hanging onto a pyro with so few spots left, but mostly it's because I'm just finding the game a little hard to get in to. It's no one's fault! Everyone has been very friendly and fantastic, but I tend to get a little overwhelmed by large games. I made an exception for this one bcause it looked so fantastic, but unfortunately I'm having trouble getting gelled.
The few people I talked to and plotted with here were amazing, and I really enjoyed it.
I hope someone has a great time snapping up the pyro spot, and hopefully I will run into some of you in future games! Kudos on a great game concept!
Best, Vixx |
