Title: You Could Have Knocked Me Over with a Feather Pairing/Characters: Poppy/Severus (implied) Rating: G Warnings: none Wordcount: 150 By: janus
It was September. Summer had lost its shine and, looking out the window, one's mind turned naturally to dread of approaching winter. Severus turned back into the room.
There was solace for his thoughts of coming bleakness. He carefully pressed on his pillow, drawing out a feather of down when its tail pricked the cover. It would provide excuse.
Pinching it, he hurried to the hospital wing, pausing before the door. He vigourously dusted the underside of his distinguished and generously-sized nose. He knocked, then tickled himself again.
"A-A-A-Tish-Ooooo," he sneezed.
The door opened. Poppy saw the feather and barely managed to hold in her laugh. "I have something to cure your ailments. Come inside at once."
He obeyed, bemused and sheepish, but after he entered and she firmly shut the door, she turned and raised her hands to bring his face down into her restorative kiss. "Is that better?"
