backgrounds is an open-membership community. it takes two seconds to join us and then you can browse through all the posts freely! this is a community where anyone can post backgrounds, pixels, overrides, or other journal-related goodies that they have found or made.

if you are posting multiple backgrounds/pixels/something that would lag someone on a slower connection than yours, please remember to use an LJ-CUT! you can figure out how this is done by clicking here. if that's all too much for you, you can always click "rich text" (the link under the entry box). that will bring up a toolbar with the following buttons:

click the highlighted button and it will do it all for you.

also, if you have lost backgrounds/pixels or are looking to find some specific kinds, feel free to request in a post!

please remember, always give credit to those who ask for it, and thank the people who took the time to make it or even just to post it here for all of us.

also, while we are not an icon community, icon journals or graphic journals can feel free to affiliate/post to advertise their work. if you have any questions, leave a comment here.
