About the Lost Tales
I have a few questions for anyone who has already seen the Lost Tales. I'd prefer to avoid spoilers, but as long as they're clearly marked in the subject or body of the comment, that's fine too. I hope I won't offend anyone with any of my questions.

How pleased are you with the movie overall? Did you feel like the stories were told well (ie clearly) and completely? In general, was there anything that was left unanswered that you wish hadn't been? Would you say that it has more in common with the original series, or with the movies? How much does it build on what's come before -- is it necessary to be familiar with Crusade or the movies in order to enjoy/understand the plot?

I definitely plan to watch the Lost Tales when I can, but I was hoping to get a short comment or two on what to expect, in general. Thanks in advance!

I didn't find the plots to be all that understandable and I am familiar with both the B5 and Crusade universes, I didn't think the stories were well told and the first mini-movie struck me as wasted time. So, no really please at all, even though it was great to see BB and PW working off of each other, they were fantastic together. As far as building on what has come before, I found both plotlines disjointed, but the first far more so. The second meshed with things we already knew and filled in a few gaps but bizarrely and pocked. I'm scheduling a re-viewing to assess the movie again but I'm certain I didn't get out of it what I was supposed to.

Thanks for replying! I appreciate the feedback you've offered me, since it gives me an idea of what to expect. I'm disappointed to hear that the Lost Tales has these problems with being disjointed and hard to understand. Do you think that it's trying to fit too much into each mini-movie, or trying to accomplish too much? Or is it more that there's not enough information and explanations given to the viewer?

Thanks again!

I found the plots to be understandable, even if they didn't mesh well together -- I am familiar with Babylon 5 but not with Crusade.

Honestly, my favorite was the first one, because I loved the theological aspect even if I had quibbles with certain artistic choices.

I don't think they particularly mesh well with older canon, but as snippets of What Things Happen Here I'm quite fond. I also really like the extras. The memorials for Andreas Katsulas and Richard Biggs were very tasteful and sad.
