Work Day
Who: Mal OT Nora
Where: Docking bay at the harbor
When: Friday, September 28th - Early Afternoon
"Mind tying up the boat there for me, darlin'?" Mal asked his step-daughter, Nora, as he slowed his boat to a stop at the dock. The waters were calm and he, Nora and a few deckhands had been at it since 5am. Bait and Tackle was a family fishing business that provided fish for most of the businesses in the area and sold to families at the markets on the weekends (although that was usually only six-to-nine months out of the year). It could be tiring work, but it was rewarding and Mal enjoyed it immensely.
Of course, he worried that he was getting too old to go out on the boat anymore. He supposed that he could have others work the boat and sell fish at the market himself, but he wasn't ready to give up on it just yet.
