Movie Night Who: Aiden and Eddie Where: Eddie's Place When: Friday Night
Aiden parked in a spot outside the complex Eddie lived in. Grabbing the couple of dvds she had brought with off the passinger seat, Aiden climbed out of the jeep to head into the complex, and then up to her BFFs door. And it was a good thing that Eddie lived alone as Aiden's knock on the door was loud and disrupting enough to start anyone to complaining.
"You could wake the dead, you know!" Eddie called to her from the other side of the door. He'd just had a shower ten minutes before and was only now pulling a crisp clean t-shirt over his head as he opened the front door, stepping aside to let his friend inside, all smiles when he saw her. She looked amazing, as always. Although he wouldn't say that. "Hi."
"Well," Aiden started to say with a playful grin as she stepped past Eddie into the apartment, "I know how soundly you sleep and wanted to make sure I wasn't left standing in the hallway for eternity." She teased.
"I only sleep a lot in the winter," he told her as he shut the door behind her, leading her over to the small living room in his apartment. He didn't have much, but it was his. "Bears are supposed to hibernate, you know," he explained, a blush creeping to his cheeks.
"Something I know all too well." Aiden said, giving playful squeeze to her friend's cheek before she took a seat on the sofa, the movies she brought set down on the coffee size table. He just looked so cute and cuddle when he blushed that Aiden just couldn't help herself.
Eddie shuffled over to sit down next to her, plopping down on the sofa and peering over at the movies that she'd brought. Disney. That didn't surprise him in the least. He gave her a playful shoulder bump and one of his infectious smiles. "Should I make us some popcorn while you put on a movie?"
"I'll need something to munch on while we watch." Aiden replied, leaning forward slightly then, she collected up the movies she had brought with her. "Which do you want to watch first? G-Force, Lion King or Eight Below." Resting the dvds on her lap as she rattled off the titles.
Eddie's eyebrows shot up. "Oh... wow. How does a guy choose?" He joked playfully, getting up, he moved into the kitchen and went about fixing them up some popcorn, as well as drinks for their movie watching shenanigans. "...How about Eight Below, then?" He said after a moment, smiling.
"Hey now," grunbled playfully to the guy as Eddie got up to go fix them up a bowl of popcorn, "just be glad I'm not forcing you to sit through a viewing of Up." A movie she would have brought along had Eddie not voiced his want of not having to sit through that specific Disney movie. "I'll get it set up." Aiden called back, setting the two other movies back down on the table. Due to her own preference, Aiden would have liked to have saved the best for last, but since she had let Eddie choose, she wasn't about to say anything. Pushing up off the couch, Aiden went about getting the movie ready for viewing.
"Thanks for that," Eddie chuckled. Up was by far one of the most depressing animated films that he'd ever seen - and that was only within the first ten minutes. After fixing them each a drink, he moved over to set them each down on the coffee table, then returned a moment later with a big bowl of popcorn; setting it down on the couch between them. "Try not to steal all of the popcorn," he said playfully.
"Sure thing," Aiden flashing him a dimpled grin as she moved the bowl of popcorn that sat between them onto her lap. Grabbing the remote then, Aiden pressed a thumb to the play button to get the movie started as she slunk back to get herself a bit more comfortable.
Eddie gave Aiden a cute little scowl when she moved the popcorn, but wisely chose not to say anything. Instead, he wrapped one arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, subtly stealing some popcorn as he cuddled her and watched the movie. "This is one of my favorites," he whispered. For whatever reason it felt wrong to speak at normal volume when they were watching a movie.
"Mine too." Aiden murmured back softly as she let her head fall gently to his shoulder. "Especially the end." Aiden keeping her voice low as she moved the popcorn bowl over so that it now sat half on her lap and half on Eddie's. She felt as he did, that speaking above a whisper while the movie was running would ruin the whole aspect of their movie night.
Eddie smiled and grumbled something in agreement. He took in a breath, breathing in Aiden's scent, and let out a puff of air as they settled on the couch to watch the movie. He truly did cherish times like this. He'd wished that they shared them more frequently.
