He took a step back as she wheeled around, his brows furrowing a bit and he cocked his head only slightly to the side as he studied her. His hand moving to wipe his mouth and he turned his head away from her, he'd never seen her with that anger. She had changed, but then again..time will do that to people and part of him wouldn't allow him to believe that she wasn't the woman he had fallen in love with.
"He didn't do it, Megan. I don't want him to take responsibility or recompense. There are things he needs to know, things that have to be fixed."
He looked back to her, almost sad when his chiseled features were drawn into that almost constant frown he carried. Maybe that was while his rare smile was so bright, he almost took a step towards her.
"You're wrong about, Moretti. Once I tell him what's going on in his company, I'll be able to clean up a lot of Axis City. Their..your suffering won't be for nothing."
His features darkened, mind heavily burdened as he realized that he really had caused such anguish to the woman he loved and even more determined to do what he came to do. He stepped back, making his way to the door..that was one thing about Stan most people didn't know. He was almost completely unshakeable once he set his mind to something.
