Day 29: Returned

Madripoor is still there, just as I remembered it. Only a bit more vivid than before. the colors brighter, the smells stronger, the sounds louder. Perhaps this is what happens when a person wakes up in a new world: it feels a bit over the top from what she remembered before.

Day 16: Rude awakenings.

The phrase The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco sprung to mind this morning, and then led me down a Google Rabbit Hole as I wondered, "Did Mark Twain really say this?"...

I haven't had a chance to spend a lot of time here. Is it weird that I'm looking forward to exploring? Things have been so insane over the last few weeks... What's a little more crazy piled on top?

Huge request here. I finished crunching some numbers to get a time travel device powered (for a friend). Unless I want two drained arc reactors, I'm gonna need a few things: higher conductivity, two other ginormous smarties, and a lot more juice.

Can me and Bruce pop over to Wakanda this week, and ask Shuri to help us in her lab?

Day 3. I've gone a bit stir crazy, I think. Three days resting, per doctor's and friend's orders, and watching far too much Netflix will do that to a person.

I found a bunch of cartoon movies from my childhood on one of those streaming services. While the nostalgia is nice, I'm itching to get out. I feel like I'm going to turn into a potato if I keep this up.

Someone distract me before I turn on another show?

This is certainly new. I'll be hanging around for a while, I guess. Don't worry, I'll try to make myself useful.

If you were trying to get back to your place after midnight, you might have noticed the security lockdown. Ends up that Rogue chick went off the deep end and attacked a couple of people staying in the Tower last night. I'm down with her on the SHIELD floors and we're taking care of it.

She's safe. She's in a holding cell. She's not talking. We don't know who we can trust yet and the psych profiler is compiling an assessment from remote brain scans. So we're limiting visitors.

Didn't want anyone to be in the dark. I'll update if we uncover anything.

There's been another instability in our part of the Multiverse. The spell net I casted indicates that there may new arrivals, as well as departures. If you notice someone is missing, they might return again one day.

Update: I've received confirmation that Thor and Jane are also missing.

I suppose it isn't too soon to ask for lab space, right? Friday suggested I say hello while I get food delivered and shopping done - I'm Hope, this morning I was in San Fransisco, this afternoon, I'm in New York City.

Can't even lie and say that's the weirdest thing to happen in my life.

Friday once I figured out what he meant by that said I should introduce myself here.

So here goes Hi. I'm Raven. I just got here from Genosha.

I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm Dr. Moira Kinross and will be consulting with my colleague, Dr. Banner as well as assisting Dr. Xavier with the reopening of the facility in Westchester.

I would like the opportunity to speak privately to anyone recently arrived from Genosha. I am happy to do so over this network or we may set a time for an in person meeting at your earliest convenience.

Additionally, If I may be of any help, please do let me know.

Some of the new arrivals aren't aware, or likely aren't even part, of our situation. They aren't displaced, but I can see their fates are coinciding with our own. So from now on, I'll be using a displaced filter for those of us from another universe. Those coming from Genosha or that were already a part of this universe, won't know what we're talking about. Or it may take them longer to understand.

I wanted to let you know that the spell net over this city has registered some departures. Hope, Wanda, Phil, T'Challa, and Bucky are gone. This universe is unpredictable. I don't want to sound hokey, but treasure those you have for the time that you given.

Oh, it is nice to move my fingers enough to use this thing. It is also nice to be able to function not in a haze of painkillers.

The comprehensive battery of tests that I have been running conclusively indicate that Bucky and I are also both under the influence of whatever has reverted Steve to his pre-serum state.

We haven't been able to determine the cause yet, but my money's on something in Genosha based on the timing.

Because of those legal statements from our resident Asgardians and Jane, lawyers were able to broker an agreement.

The Feds want to settle for ten million in restitution and some community service from Thor, if he's ok with that. Mostly social appearances. You know. Say hi. Smile, wave, refuse to promote anyone else's political or military agenda. Go home. EZPZ.

Jane, if you accept, it means all of your assets won't be frozen anymore. Asgard won't be considered terrorist sympathizers either. Which we all know was b.s. and a total knee-jerk reaction anyway.

Ross sucked it up and called for the Avengers, right after a hairy monster ate almost half of a National Guard unit.

We need three groups, with at least one heavy hitter in each team. Everyone else who can't power punch monsters can help with diversions or rescue ops. Monsters need stopped STAT. If you drop yours, tell us on the comm channel and go backup another team ASAP.

1. Team One: Anyone not afraid of getting wet, head to Pier 25. That's close to the Tower. Besides people in air-tight armor, do we have anyone with a super special surprise talent, like breathing underwater?


2. Team Two: Anyone used to fighting on foot needs to go to Battery Park. For those in the Tower, take the Quinjet on the rooftop and fly there. It needs stopped before it gets into the city.


3. Team Three: We need volunteers who can fly or fast travel to get to the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge. That's over on SHIELD's side and where the biggest mess is right now.

Let me know which team you're on. If it gets really bad, I can activate E.D.I.T.H. to help out.

Dr. Palmer's at Metro General. Take any wounded teammates there, and she'll admit and treat them.
