New York, NY - The Global Repatriation Council is setting a date for the final vote on the controversial Patch Act. The act will restore and enforce former national borders, relocating the last refugees of "The Blip" back to their countries of origin.

Thousands of refugees worldwide remain unemployed or homeless. Temporary communities still exist throughout Asia, Europe, and North America, relying on fluctuating donations and costly welfare programs. Job displacement remains common. Some returned to find homes auctioned by banks to new owners or damaged beyond repair, with insurance companies citing force majeure to deny payouts.

The GRC provides permanent funding for housing and job training, following their motto to Reset, Restore, Rebuild. A motto that many refugees say will force them back into authoritarian regimes or warzones. It will also force some current tenants out after years of unresolved legal issues with the former owners.

Trying to counter these accusations, the GRC declared this is a worldwide effort to achieve a conclusive resolution for all those affected. Representatives from the United States, United Kingdom, India, Japan, China, Philippines, France, Italy, South Korea, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Russia, Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, Argentina, and Jamaica will be in attendance. Explosion Rocks Afghanistan - November 11, 2024

An explosion of unknown origin rocked a deserted village in Afghanistan's northern region late Tuesday night. Reports from southern regions note a bright white light illuminating the sky, followed by a distant explosion.

Satellite images show that the village, one of many suspected safe havens of the Ten Rings terrorist organization, has been leveled. Traces of any weapons involved have not been located. It is suspected that the Ten Rings may have detonated the blast on purpose. There is no trace of nuclear radiation nearby or detected on air currents in surrounding countries.

Reporters have reached out to the Pentagon for comment, asking if this was part of a joint counter-insurgency mission with another nation. Officials have declined to comment, saying that this is under further investigation.

CEO of Stark Industries, Pepper Potts, has filed for a divorce from Tony Stark after nearly six years of marriage.

Ms. Potts has filed for primary custody of the couple's daughter, Morgan, and will continue as acting CEO in a remote capacity. Along with being an active member of the Avengers, Mr. Stark continues as head of Stark Industries' Research & Development department and as a member of the board of directors. The divorce is reportedly "amicable" according to legal representatives.

S.I. stocks dipped 12 points on the NYSE after the initial announcement, but have rebounding following news there would be no change of corporate leadership. No reason was given for the split and details of prenuptial agreements are currently unknown. The couple's legal representatives have asked for privacy during this transition.

Washington, D.C. - In a surprising turn of events, the U.S. government has announced a final settlement with the Asgadians and Dr. Jane Foster, world renowned astrophysicist. Charges were dropped in exchange for community service from Thor Odinson, and an additional $10 million in restitution for damages caused by the storm that hit New York.

Thor's brother, Loki, remains in military custody. His precise location is unknown due to pre-trial security concerns. A trial for war crimes charges has been set for late September.



Manhattan, NY - Via press release, Thor and renowned astrophysicist, Dr. Jane Foster, announced they are getting married. According to the released statement, the couple are "happy to announce our engagement." Stark Industries CEO, Pepper Potts-Stark, is rumored to be assisting the couple with wedding planning. The invite-only celebrity wedding will take place "sometime in the near future" at an undisclosed location.

As leader of New Asgard, I, Valkyrie, wish to extend my deepest sympathies and sincerest apologies for the actions of one of our own. Thor's endangering of the people of New York City was unacceptable, his actions had consequences that are far reaching. This was an accident and a horrible one at that. We want to pledge our support, and while we know nothing can make up for the actions, we can try to make some amends.

Thor has stepped down, setting aside his weapon as a show of peace and good faith that he means no harm, and is deeply regretful for what happened. Asgard never meant any lasting harm to Midgard, and has long defended it when in need. This was a terrible tragedy and we are sorry for the harm wrought upon your city. We wish to offer recompense with payments or reconstruction, should the offer ever be accepted.

Breaking News - As clean up efforts begin, storm damage in New York City is estimated at $21 billion and 19 people have died on the island of Manhattan. Over 2,000 residences are severely damaged, and 15,000 buildings suffered moderate damage.

Waterfront properties and parks in New York and nearby states endured storm surges up to six feet. Infrastructure has been affected. 600,000 residents experienced power outages, and crews are working to restore electricity by the end of this week. Stark Industries has donated portable arc reactor generators and contractors to affected areas.

The White House has issued a press statement. Congress and the Senate called special session votes to add Asgardians to the list of designated terrorist groups, alongside The Ten Rings, Watchdogs, HATE, and the defunct terrorist group known as HYDRA.

All citizenship or rights to be on American soil have been revoked, and all financial assets have been frozen. Any country or corporate entity that is suspected of harboring or aiding known terrorist groups, or Asgardian sympathizers like Dr. Jane Foster, will be subject to sanctioning and asset seizure.

Manhattan, NY - WHiH has obtained video of Thor summoning a super-storm, centered over the Lower Westside of Manhattan. Manhattan, NY - The latest reports from the FBI of a terrorist attack are now due to what zoologists are calling "heavily mutated animals," estimated to be sixty feet long.

The National Guard was unsuccessful at stopping the animal responsible for the attack on the Red Hook Waterfront. Despite efforts, it is currently nearing the Brooklyn Bridge. Reports state that the other two animals are also moving North, although one of them has yet to leave the water. The other was briefly on Governors Island, resulting in structural damage.

Additional search and rescue services are being called in from surrounding counties. Anyone near the waterfronts of Brooklyn Heights, Lower Manhattan, Tribeca, and Jersey City are encouraged to heed local law enforcement warnings and evacuate further inland along designated safety routes. If unable to evacuate, the FBI recommends taking shelter in basement areas or the interiors of buildings, away from any windows or exterior walls.

Despite how worried, angry or whatever feeling she had at the moment, Pepper still looked completely composed. Completely under control. She’d had to so similar things in the past and for worse reasons. She’d spent the majority of her initial years with Stark Industries making excuses for Tony’s behavior. It seemed as if she had to do so once more. Damn it. But at least this time it didn’t include paying off a Playboy Bunny. Or seven.

With her hair pulled up into a professional twist, her makeup covering the dark circles under her eyes and her pencil skirt business suit hiding the fact that she’d lost weight in just a few days from stress, Pepper stepped onto the podium and spoke into the many microphones attached to it.

“I want to thank you all for coming,” she said, glad to hear her voice steady and strong. “This will be a brief statement, and I will not be taking questions afterward.”

Her hands were clasped behind her, and those who could see would notice how white her knuckles were. She didn’t need 3X5 cards since she had memorized the talking points and would wing the rest. Her winging it was better than most presidential speech writers best attempts.

“Stark Industries began a beta test of new, full immersion virtual reality technology. As happens during such testing, something went wrong. The regretful and unexpected reaction extended beyond the lab and its effects are still uncertain. We at Stark Industries want to assure the public that we have recruited urgent assistance from the most reputable and talented minds available. Notable names such as Dr. Bruce Banner, Dr. Jane Foster and IT specialists from law securities are currently working on a resolution to this emergency. Stark Industries accepts the responsibility for these events, and have put all of our resources toward rectifying these unfortunate incidents.” Not exactly an apology, but enough of a verbal dance to satisfy the mobs. “An emergency number has been created for information and new incidents as they occur. We and the law enforcement of New York encourage anyone to make use of this number so that we may immediately address the situation.” She was SO tempted to give out Dr. Strange’s number since he was being a bit elitist about this whole mess. “Thank you for your attendance and attention.” And with that Pepper left the podium to a chorus of shouted questions from the crowd. Happy was nearby with the limo which had Morgan in the back. Pepper made a bee line for it.

Rioters struck Columbia University's SEAS department this afternoon. Chemical and biomedical research samples were stolen and equipment was damaged. Multiple students and teachers were assaulted resulting in hospitalization. The rioters quickly dispersed once NYPD arrived. No arrests were made. Damage is expected to be in the millions. A magnitude 5.0 undersea earthquake has struck Wakanda, two days after a previous undersea quake shook the African nation. The earthquake was felt in the capital of Birnin Zana and several other cities; no casualties or damage had been reported as of a few hours after the quake.

The most recent quake is the latest seismic activity in a region recently rocked with previous occurrences of undersea quakes, which are the leading cause of tsunamis. The cause of these quakes have not been confirmed, but geologists theorize that an underwater landslide or 'reactivation' of an ancient fault line may have contributed.

It's official, y'all! Tony Stark and Pepper Potts have had their Iron Baby! Morgan Maria Stark was born this afternoon. The press descended on the hospital last night, hoping to snap pics of the happy couple and their newborn. Breaking News - The State Department and CDC have lifted the emergency shelter-in-place order. Looting is at a minimum thanks to the local law enforcement and the National Guard mobilization. Exercise caution. There is a nighttime loitering curfew between 10PM and 6AM to curb criminal activity. The CDC issued a statement that what they believe to be an alien borne contaminant has resulted in no further cases since Sunday evening.

This just in: Following an explosion, the Hulk is attacking Manhattan. The last attack in Harlem on June 4th, 2010 resulted in dozens of casualties. A mandatory evacuation order has been issued between 65th and 45th Street (north to south), and between Park and 9th Avenues (east to west). Avoid this area while state and federal law enforcement set up blockades. In a shocking turn of events, the Supreme Court has reviewed a special legal filing and voted to overturn the Sokovia Accords as unconstitutional for all U.S. Citizens. Citing that it infringes on the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th Amendments, failure to ratify with a vote passing through the senate and congress, and includes unlawful imprisonment without a court hearing, the court voted 6 to 3 to overturn. The White House issued a brief statement saying that the Supreme Court ruling is being reviewed and they are not able to comment at this time. In a clear and present danger to our society, any criminal violators of the Accords can now freely roam our streets, putting the lives of our children and our pursuit of happiness in further jeopardy.
