Spirits Day Thread Who: Basim, open to all (feel free to NPC children in costumes!) When: Sunset on Spirits Day Where: The Jasmine Dragon Teashop (and all over the city) What: Bass is serving Spirit Tea to tired parents while costumed children run door to door for treats Spirits Day was one of Basim's favorite days of the year. Children in costumes, spouting nursery rhymes about giving them treats or the spirit they were dressed as would haunt that household, running merrily up and down the streets with sacks for sweets. It was great fun. Bass had worked for years to make the Jasmine Dragon the spot for weary parents to come, with extra seating opened up outside the shop, half priced "Spirit Tea" which was really nothing but a spicy cinimon blend, and a clown costume.
He grinned and bellowed chuckles as he hurried from table to table in his face paint and red nose, pouring, praising costumes and handing out candy to children the way he did raisins to monkey birds. He had learned his lesson from last year and had opted out of the over sized red shoes, he had tripped over them and broken too many tea sets last year. After the quake he could not afford that again. So brightly colored clothing and simple black shoes did the look this year. It was a busy evening, but worth it, and not truly for the money. Seeing the city so active, so happy, the children dressed up and the adults getting in the spirit and feeding off their joy, it was truly a night when the spirits came to bless the city. It was one of Basim's favorite nights of the year.
