It's time again for Activity Check! However, because April is our one-year anniversary, we're actually going to waive activity for the month of March. The April plot calendar may be a touch late for RL reasons, but we're going to have at least one big event this month, so we're not too worried about you guys not having stuff to do in April.
So comment below with your characters and any drops or notes you want to give us. You still have to tag in, even though we're not asking you for activity. When there's no required activity, we still need you to confirm that you're still into the game.
Activity Not-Check will run from Wednesday, April 1st to Tuesday, April 7th, ending at midnight EST. There's no template because the requirements we're asking for today are "make a list".

Hey guys. I will be visiting home for a week, and then I hop into my terrifying new job every week day so this is an official notice of hiatus.
I will do what I can when I'm capable, I won't be entirely gone, but I have no idea how much I'll be able to do this upcoming month. I may need to drop a character or two, but we will cross that bridge when/if it comes to that.

Heeey guys, I've been on kind of an unofficial hiatus due to brain problems/work problems/health whatevers/Comast being a butthole and making the internet difficult. I've mostly passed activity, so I didn't want an "official" hiatus because it seemed silly.
I'm still meh, but I'm really going to try jumping back in. I love you guys, thank you for being so patient with me.
(And of course, as I type this, the internet is blipping and this has taken forever to post.)

After four long months of searching in this town, I finally got a job.
Good news: It's part time, with consistent hours so I know when I'll be unavailable
Bad news: I will be less available than you know, the near 24/hrs I've been available.
Good news: I shouldn't be too slow but when I start (in two weeks) you may see a big drop in my availability.
LOVE YOU ALL and I should still be around frequently enough, so never fear! Jordan will still be here!

and I'm sick. and my Sleeping Beauty had her appendix out this morning and we open Thursday.
so if my stuff's limited that's why - I'm around here and there, I'm posting some stuff, but if I'm slow or if I'm not too too chatty or if I'm straight up MIA at night, this kind of marks the beginning of ~tech~ for the musical i'm directing. yaaay.

I'd like to extend a loving 'damn you all' to everyone here because look where I've ended up. With character #6.
This is going to be a super quick intro.
This is Kareem Guthrie, son of Dust and Icarus and he's turning 27 this year. Nice small town boy, muslim, and has earth powers (think earthbending). Before you ask, the codename Geodude is totally his nerdy friend Kassi's fault. He sort of stuck out growing up so always tried to fit in, which meant a lot of changing himself for other people. Then his powers kicked in at 15 and he went off to NA and that turned out to be a great thing for him. Worked as a superhero after, short stint with the Defenders, before realizing it wasn't really what he enjoyed about the job. So he quit. Still a small town kentucky boy at heart, he's now working in the city as a registered superhero trainer. The government has DMV courses, they've got superhero training courses too. They want you to be up to standard after all. He does the crash courses especially, the ones you take to brush up on things before going for your tests. Jack of all trades in a way.
Okay that was long enough and I'm really no good at these.

Hi! Here's a friendly plot reminder for those who don't check the plot calendar much after it goes up:
The Devil Went Down to Jersey
A supervillain calling himself the Jersey Devil makes his terrorist debut by taking over the Outerbridge Crossing, connecting Staten Island to New Jersey. This pyrokinetic is hell-bent on proving something, but no one knows what. When Wonder is injured taking him down, Captain Marvel steps up to beat the Devil and save Kassi's life. Abigail Drake, Tessa Drake, Molly Parker, and Cliff Bishop are trapped on the bridge while all of this is going down.
All of this is being covered on a live news broadcast (I like to think there's a 24-hour cable news network devoted to covering superhero events in the city), and will be reported on by all local news sources in the evening. Kassi will be brought to Stark Memorial-Staten Island (and their private superhero wing) for treatment.
The Jersey Devil's powers include high-level pyrokinesis and the unpleasant cocktail of super strength/durability/endurance. He went in wholeheartedly for the "devil" schtick with a menacing pitchfork/trident that ultimately takes Kassi down.
Comment here for background-plotting and/or log/thread plans, which conveniently coincide with March's challenge: fight or flight.

SO
Franklin brought all the kidlets into the common room to have a pow-wow. He just wanted them all to be together, lighten a mood, etc, so he could keep an eye on them and everything. Secretly, he was also making sure everything was safe and all clear, before he let them go to their rooms (around midnight).
Feel free to have them complain about it/etc. They probably had popcorn and other bad-for-you snacks and generally had a fun time for a few hours :3 Fun as it gets with an RA around, anyway!
