At The Gates OOC

So in celebration of the end of celebrations -- seriously, goodbye January and the fail of falling snow, bankruptcy post Christmas et-al -- I am reviving a meme we used to great success in Gate's first few months.

The morning after meme! This is that awful-terrible-no-good-wonderful set-up where no matter what your character was doing last night, they're waking up with someone else on the other side of the bed and facing that moment of 'who?' and all the delicious awkwardness that comes with tossing people together. Generally, this is of the wonderful-crack type meme but we have had lines play out from this affair before.

How it works: You comment with your character's journal, their name in the subject line. Other people then comment on that comment, with their character's name in the subject line -- and an opening to a ~morning after scene, a line of dialogue, anything. The way this really works is if everyone crawls over every post ridiculously and do not feel this is a moment for polished dialogue and witty words. This is nonsense, desirous of putting characters in hideously embarrassing situations for your own fun and ignoring their own sanity.

So kidlets, it is that time again. What time, do you say? That awful-horrible day when the weekend is so close you can taste it and yet not actually here and in your hot-sticky hands.

It is meme time, my preciouses. And we turn to an old and silly stand-by: a combination meme!

Comment below with two characters -- any two characters! (don't have to be yours) and the possessor of either character may respond with either

a) a theme-song and/or drabble set to said theme-song as to those two characters
b) a 'child of' those two characters with/without three facts about said spawn.

Which of the two they choose is lady's choice - you may squabble between yourselves as to which of you are ladies. (Ha!)

In the header line of your comment, please put the names of the characters you are picky-choosing and go hog-wild, my darlings. Please be sure to check back for your own characters' names appearing across the meme.

It is also worth noting that a Market is ongoing presently so be prepared for your lovely selves to be coerced into some kind of reaction to it right hot damn now

Told you we were democratic! Most votes thus far has been for the Truth Serum meme. Sign up in comments -- single comment per character, please, volunteering each for the no doubt wonderful experience of spilling all their secrets. For each character you put up for questioning you must ask a question of another's character (in the interests of fair-and-fair-alike!) but of course, you are not limited in the questions you ask. Characters respond -- in character and under duress to be truthful -- and we all go on trying to figure out how to slot this into game-canon.

So! Let the messiness commence.

All right, you lot. A meme to start the weekend off! It can be srs bsns, it can be lulztastic, whatever your pleasure. Bonus baked goods points if you somehow manage to tie a fact in to someone else's characters. (Dora says consent is not mandatory, so what else is new.)

Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal canon.

Possibly the only one of mine for whom the prospect is not shocking and awful and actually happens to on a regular basis ._. We are commencing with a meme, if you please, a meme designed to be rather silly. It is called 'After Last Night'. For whatever reason, Last Night is something glorious yet something you lack the memory of, possibly because of heavy drunken frolics. When you wake up, there is someone with you, horror and you take it from there.

You post your character's name as a comment -- someone then responds to your comment with their opener for 'after last night' and the ridiculous then spiels itself out. Please be prolific, this is likely to be awful and terrible and hilarious. And because two of my three would never, ever do this sort of thing, it is worth reiterating, "OOC".
