Hello! I'm Jamie and I'm new. I'm 21, English and in the middle of my last year of uni O_O. I am uninteresting. It's a thing. But feel free to add me at

archangels or im me whenever at deadlybirdsof! I'm not used to log-centric games so I also made a log post sticky, as an easy place to hit me up for stuff/list of possible ideas that is v much WIP.Apologies in advance, I suck at intros and making things short, but I am armed with bullet points so it might work. This is Danny Best. He won't answer to Daniel, in all likelihood.

Basics: He is Australian! But he is a total nomad who moves around a fuckton, the most recent one being from Rome to London just before Christmas. As of right now, he is crashing at Haven. He's 27, but thanks to mystical reasons~ only looks 24. He's a travel writer for Lonely Planet, a former paramedic and comes from a Mundane family. He has third degree burns up his left arm and side. He smokes a lot and will wear sunglasses even when it's raining.

Why the fuck he is here: He is the vassal of Duma, angel of silence and the stillness of death. So he is very religious, but not loyal to any domination and is deeply private about Duma. Powers -- cigarette lighter that turns into a fiery sword of justice~ (ty catwo always for coming up with that), enhanced strength/stamina/healing, two-way connection with Duma, able to see~ things other mundanes can't like if people are possessed or w/e. Sometimes, she teleports him elsewhere in the world to do her bidding. I've said that the lower/lowest level demons generally steer clear of him just because, you know, good thing to do with fire-and-brimstone angel's boy. Also, demon people and angel people, I am staring at you right now for plot of some kind. Just saying. It is a very creepy and impressive stare.

Personality: Does whatever he thinks is right and best, no matter the consequences. Lawful good, in the crusader sense of it. Incredibly self-assured. Outgoing, friendly, quick to invite someone he takes a liking to do something fun. Kind, but not nice. Cheerful. Doesn't take shit to the point of harshness. Adventurous. Shameless. Total flirt. Very responsible. Loves a good time and to be around other people. Hates thoughtlessness, prejudice and anyone trying to tell him what to do. Cheeky and can take things too far. Insouciant attitude, by and large. Always and forever on the go. Reliable and anal about things like timing. Being Duma's vassal does mean he has a total hunger for justice and it has totally gotten him in trouble/arrested before. Oops. More on him here.

Hey Jamie! It's Loren, with two characters here. This journal is Elder Young, an American missionary from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has the power to make people believe whatever he says, but he doesn't know it's magical yet. It probably wouldn't work on Danny?

	Hey Loren! I love your nameplate for Elder Young, js. Also yay Mormons :) Hmm, probably not, yeah. Which could be fun, actually, if he doesn't know that he has that power and tries to convert Danny and he is just like no ty :). Hahaha that sounds like a great concept. Hi Jamie! I'm Zoe (

oceanic and stuff), welcome to Gates, etc etc! And hooray for more angelic Lawful Good types, those always make me happy. I may be able to scrounge some plot up for you, since I have an angel and a demon and a couple in-betweens, so let's see:

This journal is Jegudiel (she goes by Johanna Levine when she has to, but mostly just Jegudiel). Archangel of Laudation, basically, glory unto God etc. She seeks out Leaders of Mankind on Earth and, if they're worthy and they've proven themselves without any help from Heaven at all, supports and protects them. God's pat on the back, if you will. Since there really aren't a lot of worthy leaders around, she has a lot of spare time when she sits around people-watching and chatting with other angels and demons and paints miniatures, so she'd definitely be interested in watching Danny's antics -- also since her main champion right now is Gryff, so her focus is definitely on Haven. She's not likely to give him a hand, but she'll give him a round of applause if he does good?

Berith (

fetters) is my demon, and he's a mid-level one who might be able to put up a fight against Danny iiiiif he were in a position to do so, which he's not because he's currently stuck in a summoning circle in the basement of the publishing house where the only magical newspaper in London is written, ty Saul Cain. But he fully intends to try to start stretching his demonic fingers into people who manage to get a little too close to his influence, so perhaps Danny could be instrumental in helping deal with those instances! I'd be down.

My others are Gideon Foster the Librarian Market Monitor (

ironcompass) who obviously has very little use for forcefully good-aligned characters, but him teaming up with a demonchild is kind of interesting despite himself. I'm sure he'll mostly just be sighing very loudly (he also thinks Haven is a cesspit of a Really Bad Idea) but he'll be curious to see how things fall out, too. Then I have Arazia Santoro (

intensifying), a Merchant child who got shipped to London recently to help boost the Market defenses but in general is mostly just interested in escape -- she thinks Danny's attractive and she likes his willfulness but she doesn't really believe in Good, so that's about all I've got. And Nolan Thales (

pythic) I just introduced, so you can glance to his post for more details if you want, but him hanging around demonfolk probably means he won't know Danny personally. Thankfully. >>

Jegudiel sounds awesome and the miniature thing is just cute. He can manage with a hand but he will totally take a round of applause. He is totally going to hit up her choir entry too, so, yes :)

LOL AWW I FEEL BAD FOR HIM ): (I aww at/feel bad about strange things, you will probably learn this). What did he do to Saul to end up there? Also yes that would be awesome, I would be down too if anything crops up! He doesn't go after demons/non-human kind of people who need to be smacked down on the regular but if he comes across them being a shit/they mess with him and his then, yes he will totally get involved.

Lol yeah Danny and Tori are their own kind of interesting, this is true. Danny and Gideon may or may not get on, Idk, but interested to see where their convo goes :] (sorry for long italics-y at you already, btw). I will keep a look out for Arazia! He'll be friendly to her probably, if nothing else. I don't thiiink he will run into Nolan, no, but his concept seems really cool *_*

	Hey Jamie! I'm J, and I just might have a demon for you to play with. This is Furtur, an Earl of Hell who runs the evil hotspot of London. He also has the ability to control thunderstorms, so if you'd ever like to pit the two against one another and cause massive property damage, he'd meet the challenge with a laugh and a skip in his step. YAAAY Jamie hello! Julie here, & welcome to Gates. I'm excited to finally get on the Danny Best train. :D Your log list is an AMAZING idea. And I do think I recall Lis & Dora nudging for some more journal activity in addition to our usual seething currents of perpetual logging~, so hey, YOU CAN HELP US ACHIEVE THIS.

Anyway, here are my characters in handy-dandy summary format, and:

DOMINIC MUNROE (

agitations) -- Also lives at Haven, is Danny's age, also frequents pubs, is also cheeky and blunt but the complete opposite of insouciant, he and his ghost!sister are friendly with Tori, and basically I think he and Danny should be friends. 8) I've been realising that Dom has a big ole dude-shaped void in his life & needs more male friends!

MR WHITE (

madetomeasure) -- Practically lives at the London Diner on late nights, and is half-angel! I think he'd be absolutely fascinated by Danny's situation and would be drawn to him like a bee to pollen. White and his brother keep their identity on the down-low, so I'd be really curious to see if Danny's extra-sensory perception applies to seeing the Nephilims' angelic blood.

"LUCAS HARPER" / TEMELUCHUS (

temeluchus) -- IS A DEMON CRAMMED INTO A MEATSUIT. Also, ironically, visits the Diner. I don't really know what this can lead to but I'm laying it here anyway.

TALIA SULLIVAN (

thedramatist) -- Would really gravitate to his shameless & adventurous & flirtatious side. SHE IS UP FOR ADVENTURES AND PARTIES!! She is especially going to need some distractions and reckless fun now, since she's just gotten over a bad case o' Forced Mormonism. MAYBE THEY COULD BUMP INTO EACH OTHER AT A PARTY?

Like Julie said, am v curious to see if Danny picks up on the angelic taint~ and what his/Duma's reaction to his presence/existence would be.
