Who: Seamus Finnigan, Parvati Patil What: Sleepy conversations in the Gryffindor Common Room. When: Thursday, January 20, 1998 Where: Gryffindor Tower Rating: Low, at least to start?
Seamus was more comfortable in his current position than he'd been in longer than he could remember. Leaning into one corner of the squashy burgundy couch, textbooks and bits and scraps of parchment spread out on a low table before him, he stretched his legs out towards the fire crackling in the hearth. He was warm and cozy, and oh-so-close to falling asleep. On nights like these - which were far and few between of late - he could almost forget the strange year they were all having and pretend that things were normal. He could almost imagine that Dean would come along and plonk himself down on the couch and that they'd spend the evening studying or, more likely, talking about girls, before heading up to the dorm. Almost.
He was just slipping into that lovely, hazy state between dreams and wakefulness when he did feel the couch dip and jostle as someone sat down next to him. Disoriented for a moment and tired, he turned his head to greet the other person. Before he regained full control of his mouth, he found himself mumbling. "Dean...zat you?"
