Seamus succeeded in surprising her with the kiss and she gave a pleased sigh, toying with the idea of forgoing the singing and anything else that might be planned and instead just doing that for the rest of the night. It was her birthday, after all, and she ought to be able to do whatever she wanted. She also doubted that Seamus would have any objections, as he seemed to enjoy it as much as she did.
But they were in the middle of a courtyard, and she didn't know when else she'd get a chance to hear Seamus sing, so with effort she pulled away, nodding as she hugged her knees to her chest. "I promise to make it a brilliant one," she said, nodding eagerly.
