He smirked at her and waggled an admonishing finger in her direction. "Uh uh, not so fast, lass. Y'won't get round me that easily. It's a surprise." He took her arm and turned her gently toward the portrait hole. "You'll just have t'trust me for a bit."
He led them out into the corridor and started walking at a slightly quicker-than-average speed. Though they did have time before curfew, he didn't want to chance an encounter with the IS or the Carrows. He was still a bit nervous about the surprise, as it was the best he'd been able to do on short notice, but he was markedly more cheery than he'd been earlier in the evening.
