Oh, Travers was very good at reminding Ernie exactly why he couldn't stand the obnoxious prat. Every word out of his mouth was patronizing and conceited. If he thought for a second that he could get away with it, Ernie would much rather stop conversing with him and just punch him in face. If only.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, taking a moment to keep himself calm. There was no point in getting riled up. Travers would just take delight in it.
"I don't think there's really been any harm done here," Ernie said after a moment, looking at both the Slytherin boy, who looked entirely too smug for his liking, and the Ravenclaw, who just looked terrified. But Ernie had a feeling his best chance at getting the Ravenclaw out of trouble was to let the Slytherin off too. "I don't see why we couldn't just let them go."
