Fleur was still trembling, but not out of fear. The exhilaration of what she had just achieved was making her quiver all over. So what if she wasn’t coming out on top? She had other tasks to catch up on her marks. For now, she was just glad that she wasn’t Dragon Food. She stood with Cedric for a few moments while Madam Pomfrey shuffled off to get the burn paste.
“Your burns are much worse zan mine,” She teased, grinning broadly. Her skirt had been set on fire and her legs were a little burned, but she couldn’t feel the pain properly. She was too alive with excitement.
Ludo Bagman came in and told them about their next task, and was promptly shoved out of the tent by Madam Pomfrey who wanted to tend to her patients. She ushered Fleur over to another bed, but she glanced back at Cedric once she got there, smiling at him again. Out of anyone she had met at Hogwarts, she liked him the best. Fleur looked away when Madam Pomfrey told him to remove his shirt, and that was when she heard a gasp come from the beside her.
“Are you feeling all right?” She asked, scooting forward and tugging the curtain back a bit, “Do you need zee Nurse?”
