"So true," Michael drawled, wearing a smug smile. That, however, froze with each new word Lavender said until he, too, was frowning.
Previously Michael had never really believed in divination but this was hitting a bit too close to home. He attempted to smile but felt that his muscles wouldn't cooperate. It felt as if an ice-cold hand got hold of his insides and twisted them with a malicious joy.
Michael gulped, his heart suddenly beating rapidly. He was about to make a little joke but somehow realised that he wouldn't be able to do it convincingly.
"Don't we all have our secrets, Lavender?" He asked, hoping that he didn't sound nearly as ashamed as he felt.
