Tonks' expression revealed her surprise. She hadn't ever thought of Fleur considering the fact that she was part-Veela something to lament, but she supposed it made sense. If Tonks wanted people to take her seriously, she just made herself look the way she thought might lead them to.
"But you did," she offered hopefully, putting her own sulk to the side for a moment and taking another chocolate. She chewed thoughtfully, caramel gumming up her teeth for a moment and preventing speech.
In the yard Remus had indeed gone, and Arthur was patting Bill warmly on the shoulder. He, at least, seemed happier than his wife about Fleur. It made her think of what her own mother might say about her choices, for Tonks was relatively certain Andromeda wouldn't welcome Remus with anything like open arms. Tonks scowled despite herself. Not that he deserved to be introduced to anybody, or for her to even be thinking of him in any way remotely approaching tenderness.
God's damned werewolf.
"Besides, you'll have beautiful children. And you'll never have to worry about him cheating on you."
