Severus took two steps closer to the desk, watching Greengrass for another long, weighted moment before speaking in tightly controlled tones. "What I would like is for you not to be lying to me. It would be extremely unwise, I can assure you."
Raising his own wand and keeping it trained on the other man, he inclined his head slightly. "Bring me both the papers and the wands, I want to see for myself that everything is in order."
He was finding the man good at masking his emotions and the attendant tics that would give most people away. Unless one of the so-called Spanish wands turned out to be what the Dark Lord was seeking, a fact that Severus highly doubted, it looked as though Legilimency was going to be necessary after all. Severus sighed impatiently as he waited. This was taking far longer than he'd hoped, and he'd sensed a presence outside the gates before he'd entered. The last thing he wanted was to dally so long he'd bring the whole Order down on his head.
