Lyle nodded in confirmation, steepling his fingers and leaning forward over his desk. He could see his wand out of the corner of his eye, wondered if he ought to subtly make it more easily accessible. It was laying on his desk, perfectly benign, and he didn't think there was necessarily a reason for him to need it. Still, this was not the time to presume safety. For now, if only to avoid unintentionally posing a threat, Lyle would leave the wand where it was.
