There were games that a woman could play that would apparently drive a man wild, but Fleur did not need games, nor did she want to use them. She could have left Bill waiting for so long that he might have thought she would never arrive. She could have acted aloof and indifferent to him, but she did not want to. After a month of exchanging letters with Bill, sometimes several in one day, she felt like she knew everything about him. In turn, she had told him things about herself that no one else knew, and now that they were finally about to go on their first date, Fleur found that she couldn't wait to be in his company.
If Fleur fancied Bill before the letters, it was a mild crush in comparison to what she felt now. The reason behind the letters was for them to really get to know one another, but an important factor to Fleur was that her Veela powers wouldn't work over pen and ink. When she liked a boy, she was even more attractive, and now? Fleur was only keeping Bill waiting so long because she was trying so hard to stop herself from glowing.
Once composed, she glided down the steps of Gringotts, biting her lip to suppress her smile. Bill effected her the way she effected most other people, and she found herself almost nervous at the thought of spending time alone with this beautiful creature. "'Allo Bill," She said, giving in and letting herself smile, "I am sorry zat I am late, eet was not on purpose."
