Who: Draco and Pansy.
What: Going on rounds and discussing the holidays.
Where: The halls of Hogwarts.
When: January 6th, 1998.
Pansy had thought she would get a chance to catch up privately with Draco on the train but between patrolling and other people feeling the need to invade their cabin left and right the whole way, there hadn't been any opportunity. Of course, no one else should have any reason to believe that they deserved some alone time, but Pansy tended to forget every once in a while that her and Draco technically weren't a couple anymore. So her irritated glare shot at everyone who entered the cabin was either met with indifference or confusion. But Pansy was anxious to know how Draco's holiday had gone. He still refused to tell her the details of his life anymore, though Pansy would frequently pour her heart out to him in hopes that he would eventually reciprocate. There were many things about their romantic relationship that Pansy had been simply unable to let go of after their break-up and she was still somewhat secretly obsessed with the idea that they were soul mates.
Luckily, she had been able to secure a spot making Prefect rounds with him. When she saw him walking toward her, she couldn't hide a somewhat giddy looking grin as the excitement at seeing him overwhelmed her temporarily. It took some conscious effort to suppress the desire to link arms with him as they started walking. "So nice to be back in school, isn't it? I don't know how your holidays were, but I was forced to go to France and visit Mother." Her family situation was something Pansy would never dare speak of to hardly anyone but her ex-boyfriend. It was very priviledged information that Pansy was actually very sensitive about. Anyone who didn't tread on the subject of her father especially very carefully Pansy made sure paid the price.
"Ida and Patricia kept talking about how beautiful Paris is but I think it smells like a loo."
