She listened to the boys without interrupting, a tough feat for Katie, but she knew it would make them know that she was serious about this. She knew it was going to be difficult, and probably scary, but she'd far rather be in harm's way for a cause she was a believer in than hiding in her parents' house doing nothing. It was worth it and she knew that.
"I'm prepared to take the risk," she finally said, looking to both of her friends. "It's worth it."
