Surprised, Tonks nearly dropped the cupcake, managing only just to keep a hold of it and smearing icing on her hand. She'd been asked before, of course, but it had been a long time.
"I look like this, yeah," she said, smiling. "I mean, when I was a teenager I had flawless skin, if you know what I mean, but I guess the first thing I learned about being able to change my appearance was that I still wanted to be me?"
It was difficult to describe, and Tonks caved to the cupcake for inspiration. Tactfully, she did not lick the icing from her hand.
"Even if I looked like her, I wouldn't have changed it, not all of the time, anyway. Besides, wouldn't that be annoying? She'd curse people, I'd give them candy. I could totally ruin her reputation."
