Summary: She hated the silence



She hated the silence. Hated not hearing Dawn and Buffy arguing downstairs. Hated not hearing Tara’s voice. Hated not listening to Xander’s bad jokes. She thought she could take their distrust, take their sending her away under the guise of learning to control her magic. She really had thought she could deal with it. And she could sort of. She didn’t mind working with the coven, she didn’t mind Giles lectures, at least they were talking to her. What she couldn’t take was the silence from her friends. She couldn’t take not talking to them. Not hearing their voices, or reading emails from them. She could even learn to live with their fear and distrust if they’d only talk to her again. That’s what was making losing Tara and starting over too much to handle. The silence was what was making her wonder if it was all worth it.
