Hey guys! Hope you all are having a spiffy week! We have a few mod things to address, so please read the items below:
Housing
The houses are limited. As such, as can only allow 3 or more people to move into them. However, we do understand that people who are expecting a baby (or babies), or couples who would like a bit more privacy, would like to have something as well. Therefore, we are going to be incorporating 2-bedroom apartments on the sixth floors of the apartment buildings. There are 14 2-bedroom apartments on the sixth floor, which will all be a little smaller than the 4-bedroom apartments below, but still large enough. This should go into affect starting tomorrow, since we need to get everything setup for it. You would comment on the Housing page (not the Home Application), just as you would if you wished to move rooms.
Please remember that the reason we put a hodge-podge of people into apartments together is to encourage inter-fandom communication. It's why we were reluctant to incorporate houses. So please continue to mingle and get your characters involved with someone outside of their fandom.
Pregnancies
Since we have quite the number of women becoming pregnant in game, it seemed like now would be the perfect time to address how pregnancies will be handled from now on.
1) The pregnancy must be mod-approved. It is at our discretion... if we feel like the pregnancies are getting out of hand, we may deny it. But remember, we're easy, so just talk to us!
2) Obviously, both parties involved in the pregnancy must be aware of it, and in agreement.
3) Pregnancies will be played out in real time, just as everything else in game is. Therefore, most women won't know they are pregnant until at least two weeks to one month if they are trying/ watching for it. If they aren't, and it's a surprise, generally six weeks to two months.
4) As for showing, it always depends on the woman and how many children she is carrying. The typical, norm would be 4-5 months in, a bump begins to emerge them gets large rather quickly. However, sometimes it happens sooner. Please keep that in mind.
5) Everyone should carry their baby to term (9 months), unless some complication arises or if multiples are involved (since they had a higher premie rate).
Please let us know if you have any questions about any of this. We're here to help and to guide.
[EDIT:] If your character is pregnant, please reply to this entry with the character and how far along she is. Thank you!
