Premise.
The year is 2059. Earth has started a regular colony on Mars, and it’s thriving. In the Pegasus Galaxy, the city of Atlantis has undergone radical changes. The mainland, once a largely uncultivated land, now harbors all sorts of thriving society, including farmlands, the raising of animals for food production, miniature governments, cities, and scientific outposts.

The city itself is teeming with life from all of the lands of the Earth, as well as several peoples who have allied themselves with the Lanteans and Earthlings. The city has its own government, complete with a president and official, working military. It houses Earth’s best and brightest, and all of the latest technologies.

On November 11, 2060, Earth and all its supporting worlds were destroyed. Among the world of humans, Lantea is the only remaining outpost. The (number) souls still remaining on Lantea are the only humans left alive.

On December 20, 2059, the news finally reaches Atlantis. The president, killed while visiting another world outside of the Lantean solar system, left behind him no vice president, and no other obvious ruler. With nowhere to turn, and the only other option being a bloody civil war that would claim more lives in a power struggle than the humans had to offer, military commander Johnathon Grey took control of the city.

New rules were set in place. Survival was placed above all other needs. Grey and his advisors declared that from the point he’d taken over onward, every man and woman, after reaching the age of 18, would become either a soldier, or a scientist. The rule forbidding intramilitary relationships was destroyed – soldiers were now encouraged to reproduce to strengthen human defenses. Goods were stored as well as sold, so that, if there was a drought, or a disaster, the government would be able to provide for its people.

As these new rules fell into place, people from the past and future began to appear in the city, on the mainland, and on abandoned worlds singled out for possible colonization.
