Ethan liked to be right. He liked to be the one on top. The dominant animal in any room. He felt it made him important, being able to be the bully as opposed to being the one bullied. However, he was feeling quite mellow being so close to Violet and the unearthly calm she produced. It dampened some of his natural reactions. Just as well considering he had a bad habit of making enemies at every turn with his superiority complex.
"Varied, yes. Expensive in some cases, but quite varied and worth every penny." The handshake was what he expected from another man of business. The man was well dressed, better dressed than Ethan himself. A tuxedo, he could have worn one, but that was more than he wanted to do for a party such as this one. It wasn't exclusive enough to need tuxedos.
He watched the other man draw his hands along Violet's flesh and the way her light changed as her tattoos reacted to the touch. It made him smile knowing how much she hated being touched and petted like some kind of animal. "Entrancing, oh yes," he had to agree. His little creature could be quite the showpiece when treated properly. "What have you had a chance to sample so far?" The things a man gravitated toward could tell a great deal about him. Was he an arena man who liked to watch the flow of bodies locked in destruction or more the throes of passion kind of person? He pushed his wire rimmed glasses up his nose again from where they had slipped down.
In a slow dreamy fashion, Violet's eyes closed and opened again to that same tired seeming slits. She was still too well sedated to know there was a world around her.
