It was more of a compulsion than a ritual these days, the werewolf's morning walk. He hadn't done it since this last full moon because he was a little concerned about being out in public, so he'd closed himself away in his room, content to rot there for the things he'd done. Harry had assured him that Prewett was trying to get in contact with the Ministry and that the local police were, oddly, blissfully unaware of what had happened. No one had wanted to be caught up with the police, so no police had been called, and the event had only become a legend since then.. a tale that was whispered around the town but that no one could actually back up.. they had a friend of a friend who knew someone who'd been there. Things like that. So, with much urging from Jalil, the werewolf had finally ventured out of his room, earlier than normal, almost two hours before the sun was supposed to rise at eight that morning. The sun was still down now, but it was starting to get lighter outside, and that was why Remus, after an hour of walking, was finally heading back towards the apartments. His gunshots were healing, as were the injuries on his wrists, but they weren't what he was concerned about. He'd stopped by the graveyard to look for fresh graves, but Ianto Jones hadn't been there. He was half hoping to run into that man, Jack, who had been with Ianto. Maybe the man would tell him what was going on.. maybe he could talk to him about the bite, try to get him some help. Maybe Jack would just put him out of his misery.
He'd almost like that. But then he remembered Jalil, and Harry, and Tonks and Prewett, and he let out another slow breath. He couldn't do that to them.. but he still wanted to find the man and talk with him. He was hoping he might run into him this morning.. but that was rather doubtful.
