Who: Tanis and Tarquin
What: Nothing good, that's for certain
When: Monday evening
Where: Tanis' apartment, London
Rating: Likely high.

Tanis was bored and frustrated. Those two mindsets paired with her destructive tendencies were dangerous enough on their own, but together? Well, she knew better than to let the feeling simmer for too long. There were always things to do , this was true. But there were only so many muggles to kill--she was on a current quest to terrorize a village in South Wales into believing there was a serial murdered amongst them--before it got too easy. Or dull. Perhaps a bit of company was just the thing she needed.

She owled a letter back to her parents saying for the thousandth time that no, she was decidedly NOT interesting in a marriage at any time in the near future, and then picked up some parchment and scrawled a note to one of the few people she could stand for more than a few minutes at a time. Tarquin McTavish.

Darling,

I'm afraid I'm suffering from a terrible case of loneliness. In fact, the solitude is just so great that I'm contemplating ending my life. Of course, that would be a tragedy. Come over and perhaps we can end some others instead? I feel the world would be lost without me.

-Tanis

The beginning of that note would likely make him laugh aloud. She held herself in far too high regard to consider suicide. While she waited for either a reply or for McTavish to aparrate into the foyer, the owl she'd sent to her parents came back with the name of another possible suitor written on it. Well, that was interesting. She set the letter down, shooed the owl off, and lay back on her chaise lounge, a book in her hands. Reading was better than nothing, and if she didn't hear back from Tarquin soon, she'd simply go out on her own again. It was hardly anything to fret over.
