Well, today had certainly taken an interesting twist. Summer holidays had only just begun too. But Barty was bored and had been busy roaming the streets of London, only popping into Diagon Alley for an ice cream cone. And then, after idly flipping through his journal, he came upon Tala's entry. She sounded just as bored as he was.
And as luck would have it, she was nearby. Closing his journal, Barty stretched, climbing slowly to his feet, his eyes floating over to the Muggleborn couple. Quite obnoxious, weren't they? He folded his hands behind his back, after tossing out his serviette, and made his way to their table. "Oh, afternoon," he said with a charming smile, ducking his head as if embarrassed. "I'm sorry to bother you, but I see that you have the new book on Charms and Love Potions. I was wondering if you could direct me to where you picked it up - I've been scouring every store in this silly alley and have yet to come upon it!"
He sounded and appeared very earnest. The couple smiled in return and began to chatter on about the book and how fabulous it was. Barty wasn't listening, really, he simply nodded, waiting for Tala to make her move. "I see!"
