Sirius grinned at her, "Well, if they've got big wigs, that would be something to boast about," Sirius said teasingly, knowing exactly what she meant but twisting her words. He could tell she was pleased, despite that she was trying to hide it. He was fairly perceptive when he wanted to be, and quite frankly, he was pleased just to be there with her.
He took another drink as he glanced around the room. He recognised Rita Skeeter, and he knew tere was no way in hell he woud want to speak to her. He also recalled a few more faces, but not many of the names. He was surprised that there seemed to be such a buzz about him being there. It was more attention than he'd bargained for.
"Honestly, I'm not that much of an interesting topic, am I?" he asked Betty as two nearby women pointed undiscreetly and whispered. He gave them a sharp glance and a smirk to which their eyes widened and the chatter picked up, "You'd think they'd find something better to gossip about."
