Who: Betty Braithwaite and Sirius Black
What: The Daily Prophet's office party, delight
When: 26 may
Where: The Daily Prophet
Rating: TBD

Parties had never been much of her kind of thing, really. The entire reason she was here is because she was dying to know if her date was going to stir up anything interesting with her coworkers. If what he said was to be believed he knew an awful lot about what was going on, things that most reporters would salivate over if they could actually get in deep enough for the information. On the other hand he knew things that would get a lot of people in a tizzy if he brought them up.

While in her normal state she might find this fact to be worrisome, but as it happened the punch was especially well made tonight and Betty was in a rather tipsy mood. Which roughly translated to she could not really be bothered if someone got a little tiffed at her choice in date. In fact it was a pleasant way to stay distracted while someone from some department rambled on about how great the editor was for some award thing. "It's not like you guys have any competition." she thought a bit sardonically.

Filling her cup back up, she looked around to see where her date was exactly. He was not anywhere near Rita Skeeter, which was good. If he managed to get her angry then Betty could kiss her job goodbye. Hopefully they would not have to stay too much longer. An office party was hardly the most riveting event in the world to be at. Though if Hodgens drunk anymore there might be some pretty interesting pictures to be taken.
