Andromeda Tonks ([info]its_tonks_now) wrote in [info]asphodel,
Their imperfections were part of what made them mesh together. They weren't the perfect couple and didn't pretend to be, which in turn might've made them as close to perfect as one could achieve -- flaws and all. The fact that Ted wasn't putting on a show, trying to pretend to be the perfect man (the exact type of boy she'd been expected to be with), was part of what kept her so attached to him. He was real, genuine, and there were no false pretenses about him. He was who he was, without shame. Andromeda had a lot of respect for her husband, even if he was an obnoxious git and messy as hell.

Andromeda was all too tempted to stay this way and spend the night on the couch together. That wouldn't be the first time she'd done that. She'd sent Ted out to sleep on the couch more than once when he'd irritated her beyond the point of her being able to take it anymore. But she'd always end up on the couch with him at some point, curled up against his back. Either that, or she'd bring his half-conscious body back up the stairs to bed with her after she felt he was punished enough.

Her smile shifted into a slight grin. "Are you sure you came home to the right house, then? Does your other wife do that for you?" She too was teasing, something she enjoyed doing when she was in the mood for it. Tonight, being playful was something she needed in order to ease her worry from the news. She was more than a little relieved to have Ted home and next to her, and their daughter sleeping safely upstairs. Now she could relax, and enjoy a little playful banter with her husband before turning in.
