so i finally decided to stop being lazy and type one of these up. this is aidan blake, the heathcliff, played by alan rickman. he's a theater critic, originally from london, where he got his start writing about plays in the west end. he later moved to new york city, where he worked, and met the love of his life. aidan adapted well to the american way of life, and if you were to ask him now, he'd admit that he doesn't miss living in london all that much. around his fourtieth birthday, he and his wife, along with their daughter, made the movie to portland. aidan was ready to slow down his career, and though he continued working for the new york times, he began reviewing openings in san francisco, sending his thoughts back to nyc via email. it was around this time that his wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer. devestated, aidan put his career on hold in order to take care of her full time, and she slowly moved into remission. unfortunately, the cancer returned two years later and this time the treatment was not successful. she passed in the winter of 2005 and aidan has never been the same. before her death he was almost always in good humor. he loved a good drink, and a good joke while in good company, but once amelia passed away his entire demeanor changed. he's returned to his work as a critic, but he rarely leaves the house with the exception of heading to san francisco to see a play. he's cut off his relationship with many of the friends who remind him of his wife, and he's even distanced himself from his daughter, who's currently attending yale for journalism. she's determined to see him happy however, and despite his protests, she forced him into signing up for singled.com. he's not too pleased with the idea, but even though he's a horrible curmudgeon now he still can't bear to say no to his daughter when she pulls out the puppy eyes. so, here he is. this is entirely too choppy for my liking but i'm exhausted so bear with me. his survey is here if that's of any help.
storyline wise, i'm up for just about anything. new friends, old friends, people he knows through his work, maybe people he met during the time his wife was in the hospital. i'm also up for filling lines if there's anything you think you could use him for. you can feel free to catch me on at 'tear aidan apart' if you're so inclined. hit me with your best shot.
