Plenty of time had passed, but he still saw grey eyes watching him, blaming him.
They said to him, "I gave my life for you. For your honor. How will you repay me?"
He had only silence for his answer.
And then those grey eyes were no longer phantoms, and yet they still haunted him. The eyes and the sash of green that now went everywhere together.
They asked, "I risked my life for you. I sacrificed my honor for your sake. How will you repay me?"
And he found that he still had no answer.
