In the Muggle World portents, omens and prophecies (for those who believe in such things) mark this as a disastrous year. ... those with magic as their guide read different stars. Lord Voldemort, drunk upon his success, has reached the high-water mark of his power. Gradually increasing attacks have taken shape and the Dark Mark is often seen in the sky.
