Site Issues
We know there have been a lot of problems with the site lately. This is due to extremely high database loads during peak hours. To help rectify this we have implemented hourly database restarts, which is why you are seeing errors on the hour. We are doing what we can to resolve this, and we are hoping the latest google updates will work to discourage the spammers. However we do not see an immediate fix on the horizon, but please be assured that we are not ignoring these issues. If you start to run into slowness on the site, please be aware that the issue will resolve itself at the top of the next hour. We will post any further updates as they come.

Also, I've regularly been getting database can't be reached errors.
Toronto Blue Jays - TeamReport
-RHP Henderson Alvarez, who left Monday's 9-6 win over Boston with stiffness in his elbow, has been diagnosed with mild inflammation in the elbow. He is expected to make his next start. Alvarez visited Dr. Steve Mirabello in Florida on Tuesday and underwent an MRI. Alvarez, who earned his first win since May 10 on Monday, should be able to start Saturday against the Angels. It was welcome news for the Blue Jays, who have lost three members of the rotation to injury: RHP Brandon Morrow (strained oblique), RHP Kyle Drabek (elbow surgery) and RHP Drew Hutchison (elbow sprain).--1B Adam Lind went 2-for-4 Tuesday in the Blue Jays' 5-1 loss at Boston. It was his first start since his recall from Class AAA Las Vegas. He played first base and batted eighth, and he brought his major league batting average up to .195 for the season. His first appearance with Toronto since his demotion on May 17 was as a pinch-hitter Monday, and he hit a deep flyout.--RF Jose Bautista went 0-for-4 with no walks Tuesday, ending his string of consecutive games reaching base at 24. Bautista hit his 24th homer of the season Monday, and he's tied for the major league lead with Texas' Josh Hamilton.--LHP Aaron Laffey pitched six scoreless innings as he held the Red Sox to three hits Tuesday and left with a 1-0 lead. Boston went on to win 5-1. It was Laffey's 50th career major league start and his first since July 19, 2010, when he pitched five scoreless innings to get the win for Cleveland.
