Permanently Insane Accounts For Sale
From now until March 28th we are going to be selling Permanently Insane accounts for their regular price of $50. In addition we are selling Permanent Extra Userpics for $25. This will bring the userpic total of your Permanently Insane account to 500 for the life of your account.

And remember if you upgrade to Permanently Insane while you have a Self-Committed[paid] account, you can open a support request in the Accounts category to have your remaining paid time transfered to another account.

They're usually offered at the end of the month, so it'd probably be a good idea to put $50 away at the beginning of the month for future sales.

Or, you know, maybe offer it at other times, too? That was what I was getting at. Other than just 'usually' at the end of the month. If I -had- known that this was the 'usual' time, I would have saved 50 dollars. But, unfortunately, these things happen so rarely, after the 15th of the month (this announcement happened on the 24th, I believe?) , that - ya know - foresight wasn't something that could happen if the money for splurges was already gone. LOL! ;P

Well, for whatever reason (I assume site need), they continue to be offered at the end of the month, even when people ask for different dates. So my suggestion would be to tuck $50 away in a drawer for a rainy day, just in case!

People always bring this up, and I just wonder why you can't put away $50 now for the next time perm. accounts will be offered? Just tuck it away somewhere and save it!

Because some people have budgets and fixed incomes, maybe? People bring this up, because there is no schedule or forewarning, just all of a sudden "oh NOW we're offering this." Recently, it was said that they wouldn't be offering them, therefore March's offer was unexpected. So... *shrug* Maybe you two have money to tuck away indefinitely...but some other people don't when other things inevitably come up. Thanks for your advice though, even if it does not apply in 100% of cases, though some might suspect it would. I'd like to support the site since Squeaky does a wonderful job otherwise...and besides that, all comments were directed toward him as a suggestion, not the two of you. :D

Squeaky, hopefully you'll post a notice when there's going to be a sale going on, maybe a couple weeks or a single month before you -think- about it maybe happening? That's all some of us would be asking for. Even on facebook or twitter, which I watch too. Thanks. <3

No need to be rude, man. (Especially with your lovely icon usage.)

Hm, I guess i see what you mean, but I'm kind of of the opinion that if someone is on an income fixed enough that they can't save away fifty dollars (even if it's not all at once, even if it's just putting away $10 here and there) then they wouldn't be able to afford an account on a journaling service anyway. Which is no big deal. I'm poor myself, I only have one because I got mine at Christmas last year when it was $35 and I'd just gotten some "Christmas money". I'm not trying to condemn people who don't have money or something. Your random bolding of terms is kind of unnecessary, I do actually have a surprising amount of reading comprehension. I was just trying to suggest something for you, and you did happen to post this in a public forum, where, gee, anybody can respond! :D LOL!

Next time I'll preface it "Dear Squeaky" since I was vague before, and I'm aware it was a public forum. Unfortunately, I forgot that was my default icon (for everything, it was my everyday use icon that went with the layout <3)...not that the iconage is working right now. So it was hard to see on my end. LOL! But if its offensive to people in here, my apologies. Though for some odd reason, no icons show up in comments threaded in the announcements journal on my end. I've changed my default to another icon. Enjoy.

I like using italics too, but I was attempting to clarify for those who were offering such advice. As it was, a 4 day sale with little warning meant I couldn't save up anything in time, especially since any 'splurge' money goes fast with a 5 year old around. No big! Thanks for clarifying your stance though, and I hope I've clarified mine. :)
