Daily Backups

Starting tonight we are moving the daily backup from 1:30PM (EST) and will instead be starting it at 5:00AM(EST). We have done some statistical analysis and have decided that this is a better time to run this backup. The site will be unavailable for approximately 20 minutes while this daily backup runs.

  I'm wondering if this has something to do with LJ being down for scheduled maintenance? Like, perhaps the images/layouts (I'm not exactly layout savvy) are all still stored on LJ's serves, which are currently down. They'll be back up at 6AM GMT, so I guess we'll have our answer then! The timing just seems awfully convenient to me. I've noticed other things on IJ go down when LJ goes down. Weird.

    I'm pretty sure this is the case for Bloggish-based layouts.

    I will look into this. If any of our code is still refrencing LJ, we need to fix that.

      While the layouts for Bloggish retain some of the colors, the overall theme is gone still.

          While some of the layout is now available - colors and what not - the actual Bloggish theme (Forrest Green) is not showing up. Same with layouts for other journals as well as communities. The 'Beckett' theme seems to be broken as well. These are the 'themes' under the Bloggish layout choice in Customize journal.
          
          Not a huge deal, in the over all scheme of things, but wanted to point it out.

          The Beckett theme seems to have issues with the background mainly. I'm not sure if all of the Bloggish themes are borked in some way - but I've noticed Forrest Green and Beckett.

            Comparing http://www.insanejournal.com/stc/sixhtml/themes/lilia/theme-beckett.css and http://stat.livejournal.com/sixhtml/themes/lilia/theme-beckett.css , I see IJ's version references images that are not there.
            
            The same problem occurs with the Folio theme and probably the others mentioned in these comments.

          By the way, I'm fairly certain some of your styles still reference LJ because my work's firewall blocks LJ entirely (but not IJ! Yay!) and when I log into IJ at that work, Bloggish is utterly broken. I just get a white screen with the entries and icons - no layout at all. That's the only place that happens. When I get home, they're fine... well, except for now.
          
          And incidentally, my IJs with Bloggish are showing more or less normal except the the background colour on the entries is gone so the page background colour I all I see. I don't do much in the way of customisation either.
